You get what you pay for

We returned today from this hotel. The location and beach are beautiful. There are few Americans and so the experience was both interesting in that we met people from all over and difficult because most guests and staff did not understand our language. The food was okay. It is very Carribean and not very Americanized. It is also not of the highest quality. We always found something to eat. My biggest complaint is that every room has a problem. Most of the problems are minor and could be easily fixed. They suggest a lack of care and an overly frugal attitude on the part of the owners. For instance, the first two rooms our family occupied did not have locking windows. The next room my husband and I moved to had a leaky refrigerator and the safe could not be opened. In the third room we occupied we were not able to open the sliding glass door and use the very nice patio. The second room my children occupied smelled very moldy and the paint was chipping off the ceiling, apparently due to the dampness. All in all, next time I will pay a little more and go to a nicer all inclusive in Punta Cana
