Dont do it ...you can do better!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
Except for only one night manager ( Thankyou Leo) and one porter ( Tiny little older man ? name, found on the last day of stay)staff unfriendly & disinterested and lazy. Had an urgent fax arrive- it stayed at the desk they never even bothered to call the room! Sheets didnt fit the bed, every time you rolled over, the sheets came off the bed & you ended up sleeping on the mattress - yuk! Apart from Leo, none of the night staff ever answered the phone , tried to book a wake up call 6nts out of 7 , only 1 answer- where were they, God knows. I even tried ringing from my mobile ...nothing. Lighting very poor in bedroom, one little light bulb ? 40w on a 12ft ceiling.Mould in the bathroom ++. Aircon worked well, but very dirty vents etc. Left hotel with visible bites on our bodies ? bedbugs or worse! +ve x 2 , close to subway, good coffee

best price to reach manhattan
By Ozgur, 11/12/07
located close to subway station it is a logic decision to choose this hotel. you can arrive to downtown manhattan in 30 minutes from the hotel. don't keep your expectetions high. but if you want to pay a very reasonable price and have a safe stay, keep this hotel in mind.

Clean, modern, cheap for NYC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/07
My stay at this hotel in March 2007 was excellent. My room had been recently refitted and was immaculately clean and comfortable. It was very quiet except for a bit of noise from the N-train making its turn nearby, nothing that demanded the earplugs with which I habitually travel. The hotel is a reasonable walk from the subway and accessible to the places I visit in NYC: friends in Brooklyn and sights in Manhattan. The lobby is tiny, and the free breakfast is worth what you pay for it. But the staff was helpful in every way, more than happy to keep my bag after checkout until I picked it up to go to the airport. For the money, about $125/night when I was there, I haven't found anything better. The price is comparable to, sometimes cheaper than, the bathroom-down-the-hall places where I've stayed in Manhattan. And the room was smaller but much cleaner and more comfortable than the one at the airport hotel where Delta put me up the following night after canceling my flight. It would be nice if some of the cool restaurants that have filled up other Brooklyn neighborhoods were nearby, but a good guidebook or friend, a Metrocard and some walking shoes will get you to any of those places anyway. This is New York, the city where no one sleeps because no one can afford the hotels. Just be thankful there are a few places where you can pay the rate and not stay up all night worrying about how much it's costing you.

Good Place
By Ted, 09/21/06
There is plenty to read about new York so I'll spare you that part. Let's just say this hotel is convienient to Times Square and once you learn the subway it gets even better. Lots of good places to eat even on the same block. It was under construction while we were there and had to switch rooms. I'd imagine they are done with that by now.

The best hotel ever
By Tabitha, 05/25/05
This is one of the nicest hotels in New York City my family and I have ever stayed at. It was affordable, the food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the staff was very kind, and very considerate. I can't wait to go back.

good location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
checked in may 21 We were never advised that the hotel was under contruction that at 6.30am there was an enerous amount of drilling noise that woke us up,we complained and they replied sorry there is nothing we can do the work needs to be done, what kind of an answer is that!we also told them again when we checked out and they brushed us off just saying we will advise the manager, just to shut us up. The good thing about this hotel was the location right next to times sqaure. The room was ok ,the washroom and most of the walls in the room needed renovation, the wall papper was coming off and you could start seeing a hole.

Our vacation was wonderful no problems from motel
By linda, 05/23/05
When we did not want anyone to come into our room they were very happy to give us our privacy. When we called for something they were there to help us in anywhy they could. Gave us information of good resturants and even ordered in when wanted too. When we wanted to stay longer or move to a different room by the pool there was no problems.. had a very good vacation with the help of days inn.

Cheap rate!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
The rate was really cheap for how close it was to Time Square/Broadway area. Like any cheaper end hotel, it was very basic bed and bathroom but how long do you really stay in your hotel room when your in NYC!!!!

Great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/05
The hotel is located right next to Broadway and Times Square, however the beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel was noisy at all times. Also, the rooms were not very clean and there were some things broken. Overall it is a semi-good deal for the rates that they charge.
