I found the Inn on the internet. I called to make reservations. When I told them I needed a government rated, non-smoking room, I was told there was only a smoking room or a suite. I declined and hung up the phone. I went on line and went through the process to reserve the room on line and it let me go to the place to put in your credit card number. I called the Hampton Inn back and I was told that the previous operator was mistaken and they did have a non-smoking room avaliable. I explained that my daughter had asthma and was highly allergic to smoke. They assured me they had a non smoking room. We got wrong directions, so we missed the free drinks, salads etc. When we checked in, our room smelled like an ashtray. I called the desk and was told I could come and get some freebrez. I went to the desk to request a non smoking room as was discussed this morning. Finally was given a non smoking room, however I wished I had stayed at the Red Roof Inn for 1/2 the price without the hassle. The room was beautiful and clean once we got the non-smoking room, however, who needs the lies that you are getting a non-smoking room when you explained the allergy situation when you made the reservations. They didn't care that my daughter would have needed an ambulance in the middle of the night because she couldn't breath had I stayed in the first room. Shame on you Hampton Inn. Also, very hard to find with incorrect directions.
