Perfect for a Stay in Ketchikan

We stayed for a week in a suite, which is located on Creek Street , around the corner from the main hotel. The suites are new and very comfortable, though the bed is in a loft requiring climbing of stairs. The rooms have cable TV and free wireless Internet that works quite well. Creek Street is crowded with people from cruise ships all day visiting the shops there, but magically they disappear back to the ships by 5 pm and so the evenings are quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood is charming and ideal to get a feel for Ketchikan life.
Downtown is within walking distance, so shops and restaurants are easy to get toto. If there is a downside, it is that the hotel has no parking lot so you have to find a place on the street which is not a problem.
Things to do in Ketchikan include a float plane ride to Misty Fjords with Michelle Masden in the Lady Esther DHC-2 Beaver (Island Wings) or a book a fishing trip with Shawn Mitchell, or visit the totem parks at Saxman.
