La Quinta Inn & Suites Brownwood, Brownwood

I made a reservation for Saturday night then drove 320 miles with no worries about my room because I had a RESERVATION.... only to arrive at 4 pm and be told that the hotel was overbooked and that I didn't have a room for the night - no call, no nada, nothing - by this time all other hotels above a 1 star rating in Brownwood were also full. I called reservations for an explanation and was told it was the hotels fault, meanwhile the clerk was telling me it was reservations fault. What a game... no accountability from either side and no type of compensation. I ended up 30 miles away in Comanche at the Best Western with several others who also had "reservations" at the same La Quinta. Should have just gone there first. Would NEVER stay in or recommend La Quinta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
