Sun Suites of Birmingham, Birmingham

We stayed there for two days and the room was nice but later in the evening.. there were roaches everywhere.. the front desk service was good. Loved the kitchenette set up but we had to get the pots from the front desk. It was nice but bring your raid with you.LOL

When we arrived on October 4th the room thye gave us still had the do not distruble sign in hte door and when we opended the door the beds were not made and the ironing board was set up and dirty cups were setting on hte table. Someone did come to clean the room after an hour. We made these reservations in March 2008 for the Telledaga race and were so disappointed there was not place else available to stay. Don;t ever go there it is horrible.

July 28, 2007 was the date at this facility. I do understand why this hotel is 2 star facility. For the money, ok. Their trash can's were full due to no trash pick up.Yes, you do have to pay for towels. It seems as though this facility was also a residency. The grounds people were not friendly. But the front desk was kind. In the room the bathroom had dirty towels still in the room. I will not stay in that hotel again as well as not recommend to anyone. If was the worse place I've stayed.

We had the misfortune to stay at the Sun Suite the weekend of June 23, 2007. We reversed three rooms. We called to cancel one room; we were told we could not get our money back so we kept the room. The first room had roaches, not one or two, a room full. We called down to the front desk to complain and ask for someone to bring up some type of spray. We were told they couldn’t because they had someone to come every so often to spray, but did offer to move us to a different room. Knowing there were already problems with the three rooms we already had, we didn’t move because we didn’t know the condition of the room they were offering us. The next room had such a bad odor in it that it was so unbelievable. It smelled like the carpet was mildew or something. We were all supposed to be in non-smoking rooms, but the last room smelt like old cigarettes. The smell in there was so strong we had to open the door to let it air out (which still didn’t help much). This is not a place I would be visiting any more. The front desk was not helpful at all. While checking in, the receptionist was on a personal call the whole time, not professional at all.
