Fitz Inn and Jacob Wirth have an agreement of 2 hrs free parking when dining at Jacob Wirth. I had the waitstaff stamp my parking stub when I arrived at the restaurant. When I went to get my car the attendant said it would be the full amount of $15.00 flat rate. I told him I had my stub stamped in the restaurant. He said it was only valid if I stayed max. 2 hours (I was there for 3 hours). I paid the $15.00. The next day I emailed Jacob Wirth and told them their website was misleading. He forwarded my email to the owner of Fitz Inn. The owner apologized for the misunderstanding. He asked for my address to send me a gift certificate to the restaurant and free parking for all my trouble. I thought that was nice of him, unfortunately that was over a month ago and I haven't seen anything in the mail. I guess the owner didn't really care how he treats his customers and I either does his attendants. I will never park at Fitz Inn again! Clearly the attendant was pocketing the extra cash because it doesn't matter if you stay longer than 2 hours at the resturant you still get 2 hours free.
I parked back of a car and was asked to give up my keys but the car I was behind was owned by someone who was with our group and would leave with us. The arrangement was made that I could keep the keys. When we returned to leave the lot, the next day, the attendent was breaking into my car!! He said it was because the car in front couldn't get out unless he moved mine. I am very upset he felt he had the right to try to get into the car when in fact no one had needed the front car at that point and in fact would not . And how did he intend to start the car and where would he have put it. I trusted the attendents and it was clear this one so bound with the idea that someone MIGHT want to move the front car he felt he had the right to break into mine. He pried open the window a little and had dropped the coat hanger into the car and was using a rod type opener and a rope when we stopped him. this is totally wrong!
