Not So Great

We arrived very tired and the staff were very pleasant. The power was out due to high winds so we had no lights upon entering room. We went to dinner, fueled the van, and walked around town. Upon our return some time after 10:30 P.M. we could NOT believe what we'd paid for! The room was located in the smaller group at the opposite side of the office area. There were two huge black stains on the carpet right between the beds and they were wet, floor in front of the sink area was caving in due to water damage, food on the carpet, wrappers under the beds, edges of the carpet were filthy, curtains had a huge water stain running full length. There were stains on the wood ceiling that appeared to be blood splatter! The office was closed and no place to go for help. Once in bed we found a receipt that was NOT ours in between the sheets. We ended up three in a bed for the night with NO sleep. I'm sorry but it was the worst place we've ever stayed. I'm sure the room had not been cleaned in a very long time.
When we checked out in the morning the manager was not available and the gentlemen at the desk only offered an apology and name & number of the manager. We completed a comment card. I have not been able to contact the manager as of yet and it's been three days.
I will say that the staff are very friendly and polite. The restaurant staff were fun and the food was good.
Very dissatisfied with the room and the cleanliness. This area of the motel should be condemned to say the least. Surely they must have known that the room was as bad as it was.
