We loved it before, and the Barefoot Bar & Grill right next door makes it even better! Looking forward to our next stay in 2008.

Beach Break may not be the most luxurious hotel on the beach, but I would certainly put it at the top for VALUE, VIEW, CLEANLINESS AND STAFF FRIENDLINESS. Our last three vacations have been spent at Beach Break and we have already made our reservation for next year.
My wife and I travel with another copule and we find the accommodations at Beach Break perfect for us. The unit we stayed in is on the second floor... the ocean view is magnificent. Our unit included a bathroom, kitchenette with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. The cabinets hold all the basics...pans, skillet, dishes, glasses and silverware. The hotel furnishes the kitchen with fresh dish cloths, dish soap and coffee packets daily. One bedroom has it's own TV and air conditioning unit. The other adjoins the sitting area where there is a table and chairs, a couch, and a nice size TV. There's a small balcony from which you can watch the sea gulls, the activity on the beach and at the pool, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the magnificent view and the mesmerizing sound of the ocean.
Since we spend most of our time at the beach or the pool, not in the room, what we look for is value. We like to spend the majority of our vacation money on food, drinks and entertainment, and a minimal amount on travel and hotel expense. Beach Break provides exactly what we want. The pool, hot tub and grounds are well maintained, every room has a terrific ocean view, and the beach is right outside your door. The staff is always scurrying around taking care of business, but they never fail to smile and give a pleasant greeting. Ricc, the day manager, has been consistently helpful to us with our reservations and information about local attractions and activities. The managers are always ready to help in any way they can. When we arrived this past summer, one of the air conditioning units was not functioning properly. We called the office and within ten minutes, the maintenance people arrived, and in less than thrity minutes a new unit was installed. The promptness and efficiency of the staff is remarkable.
The continental breakfast furnished by the hotel provided our breakfast, and the kitchenette gave us the opportunity to eat lunch and snacks in the room. We even used the bar-b-cue pit provided by the hotel to cook dinner one evening. There's a grocery store and a Target within a couple miles and construction was underway for several other stores that should be complete by next summer and are within walking distance. There are several good restaurants in the area, however, we were especially pleased this past year when we found that the Barefoot Bar & Grill had opened right next door to Beach Break. The food and drinks were excellent, local musicians played on the weekends, and the service was outstanding. The waitresses remembered us after just one visit, and Shelly, the bartender, was terrific. She has a dry sense of humor that keeps her customers entertained. Barefoot radiates a fun atmosphere where everybody laughs and shares stories from their parts of the country. Barefoot Bar & Grill is definitely an attractive amenity to Beach Break. In addition, when we were there, Beach Break guests received a 10% discount at the Barefoot.
If you're looking for a clean hotel at a reasonable rate with a friendly staff and a great view from every room, definitely check out Beach Break by the Sea...you won't be disappointed.
