What an awesome find! Small family run hotel with nice sized rooms, private bathroom w/shower, beautiful view of the Alps. The staff were friendly, spoke English, and extremely helpful with setting up advance tickets for sightseeing venues. The breakfast area was charming and the food was buffet style with fresh fruites, egg, brochen (breads/rolls) and yogurt every morning. We highly suggest choosing a table by the window to enjoy the scenery. Located within walking distance to lots of shopping/restaurants. If you like to walk - easy walk to the Partenskirschen side and to the train that takes you to the Zugspitz. We took a nice walk to the american military resort and were extremely happy we chose to stay at the Aschenbrenner. Less children running around, less noise, and, I hate to say it, less rude americans.
