Americas Best Inn and Suites Shell Lake, Shell Lake

We were in town for a weekend getaway and stayed at this Americas Best Inn and Suites for three nights. The hotel is immaculately clean. Room were very clean and updated. It was beautiful and nicely appointed with excellent beds. Three things that are important to me: comfortable beds/pillows, clean/nice shower and indoor pool. This hotel did have very comfortable beds/pillows as this hotel is also known as quite and comfortable hotel and the shower was nice. We forgot a few items and they had them at the front desk for us. All ages of kids had fun in the swiming pool with water slides, kiddie pool and the hot tub was nice too. I personally used hot tub and sauna. Pool area was very clean also. Pool room temperature was just perfect. Very friendly staff. This hotel staff were very accommodating to our mid size family group, who spent a lot of time together in the pool and in the breakfast lounge area. The hotel staff was there for our every demand. There was a basic, but nice, breakfast. Hot waffles in the morning was included in breakfast too. On returning to our room each night, it had been miraculously cleaned and we were never bothered by the maid in the morning - She must have taken notice when we left. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed for two weeks, the first with our grandsons and the manager was great, friendly, rooms clean, the second week the owner was there and he was not friendly, rude, our presence seemed an affront to him and his extended family, turned out the lights on the pool before the closing time, we had an emergency and had to check out a day early, the owner said, NO refunds without 48 hour notice, what about the word emergency does he not understand, the second week there were ants crawling all over the breakfast area and food, we did not eat there, the owner should stay home and let others more qualified and friendlier operate his business, he has just lost a repeat customer!

I was very pleased with the hotel very clean and quit. The pool was great and very refreshing and the hot tub was just the right temp . Had plenty of pillows in my room and the breakfast was filling a great way to start your day

Was here for two nights on buisness. The rates are good. And the breakfast is great. The suite I had was huge. And the service was fast and friendly.

the hotel and its room are very clean .which is i think most important .the pool and the hot rub is great and the water slide which no othe hotel have in this area our kids enjoyed a lot the is very caring and understanding
