Sleep Inn and Suites Minot, Minot

My sister & I have stayed here many times w/our children ages range from 3-12yrs old. We have always had a friendly stay & the staff has always been really great! We even called the next morning for a late check out & they were very nice in extending our morning an extra hour. Our kids love the pool & have never had any accidents or complaints. Our room always really clean. So reading others peoples complaints seems hard to believe they had that exp. at a motel we love so much. Sleep inn has always been good to us & we will continue enjoying our stays w/them!!!

During our stay we took our kids to the pool and my 13 year old son sliced his foot at the bottom of the pool as he got out of the purple water slide. It seems there is a vent at the bottom of the pool right there and so went he stood up his foot came across it and it cut a piece about the size of a quarter on teh ball of his foot. Come to find out he was not the first one this has happened to, just for some unknown reason the hotel hasn't found it necessary to fix the problem. The hotel only had one band aid in the entire hotel. When my husband went to the front desk to get a second band aid and made the comment that it was messed up that we had to leave the building to go and get a bandage for our son for an injury that happened at their hotel due to their negligence he turned around and realized that he had security watching him!!!!! The way the staff handled the problem was purely incompetent, nobody knew first aid, I realize that it is posted that there are no lifegaurds on duty, but at least have more that one stinkin' band aid available! All I can say is I'm sure there were some laws or health codes broken that night and not once did they apologize or try to make the situation right. I will NEVER stay there again, I value my children's safty too much!

Location and mall access are +. However, $200.00 plus for one night is way too much for this hotel. Our room had oatmeal packages left in it and candy wrappers on top of the microwave.

No kid EVERY flew of the slide at this hotel. IF this did happen it would have been SHUT DOWN SO FAST YOUR HEAD WOULD SPIN!!!!! I checked with the department of health and safety. Hotel is not the RITZ but is clean and has friendly staff. Kids ages 8,10, 12 had a great time. Mall is attached so if some want to swim and some want to shop it works great! Is a little expensive I will give you that but you do get a nice breakfast. The internet is a nice thing to have we enjoyed that. When we need more towels we had to go down to get them ourselves whick maybe some people would complain about judging by this review page but, no BIG DEAL! Me and my family will go back. JUST THINK PEOPLE THEY SAY IT IS VERY HARD TO GET A ROOM, WHY IS THAT?....... WELL MAYBE BEACAUSE IT IS A GOOD HOTEL!

The rooms were clean and nice. The HDTV had internet access and was easy to use. One of the few places in Minot that offer a continental breakfast, this hotel has decent food on site as well. Located inside the Dakota Mall the best food, shopping, and only movie theater is a short walk away. The pool is actually a small indoor waterpark with 3 enormous waterslides. Lots of fun for the kids but otherwise usually crowded and not much of an adult place for a relaxing swim.

My family has stayed at this hotel twice. The first time they wouldn't let us use a giftcard we had gotten as a gift because they didn't know how to do it. The second time my son got hurt on the enclosed slide (there should be warning signs that this is super fast) and about 12 people in my party got sick. The hotel tried to blame it on the resturant we had eaten at but not all of us had eaten there. I know for a fact the State Health Dept was investigating them due to an outbreak of rotovirus. They will not let you check in a minute early to this hotel either, even if you have an infant who needs a nap before 4pm. Why would I pay $150 to stay somewhere where the staff is rude (especially the manager) and I have to take time off work due to my entire family being sick and shampoo my carpets from my children being sick. There are plenty of other places to stay in Minot and I will never be staying here again!

The water park is one of my kids favorite places to go on any day, especially durring our long winter months. Unfortunately we will not be going there anymore. The pool area was filthy and the pools had things floating in it. The only staff availble was a young group of teens huddled behind the desk talking about whatever the latest gossip was. Unclean, unkept, unsupervised. If you do decide to go, be aware of the slides. Only one at a time is a must! Never place a child on your lap for they can bounce off the side. Purple slide is super dangerous for younger kids. The orange slide has a current that prevents weaker swimmers getting to the steps. Beware of your "funtime" at Sleep Inn Splash Down. 3O bucks for ONE HOUR is a crazy overcharge too. With that kind of charge you think they could pay somebody to pick up the debris and collect towels.

The slides are dangerous!! A toddler fell off while riding with his dad. He hit the slide under the one he was on and was shot into the water, unconscious!! These slides are dangerous. Some's child could be killed or seriously injured. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!

I currently stay in many hotels during the year, but i have never been treated with such disrespect ever at a hotel. Be prepared to not get your room cleaned, and when you complain they will put an extra charge on your bill. The last 2 times we stayed here, our room never got cleaned. Not even clean towels. The manager does not exist if you have a problem, they are overpriced, and be prepared to sleep in someones body fluids. The only thing going for them is location, which is not enough to make me go back. The pool discolored all our clothes, and the high chlorine left my friends toddler screaming from the burning. Highly disrespectful manager and staff (Except for Jacqui) who was a genuine sweetheart. Only knew 4 couples staying at the hotel, and not one will go back because of the shoddy service, and filthy rooms. Needs to be renamed You Are SLEEPIN IN IT.
