Hotel of Horrors
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/10
I currently stay in many hotels during the year, but i have never been treated with such disrespect ever at a hotel. Be prepared to not get your room cleaned, and when you complain they will put an extra charge on your bill. The last 2 times we stayed here, our room never got cleaned. Not even clean towels. The manager does not exist if you have a problem, they are overpriced, and be prepared to sleep in someones body fluids. The only thing going for them is location, which is not enough to make me go back. The pool discolored all our clothes, and the high chlorine left my friends toddler screaming from the burning. Highly disrespectful manager and staff (Except for Jacqui) who was a genuine sweetheart. Only knew 4 couples staying at the hotel, and not one will go back because of the shoddy service, and filthy rooms. Needs to be renamed You Are SLEEPIN IN IT.

NEVER EVER AGAIN
By Jen, 01/03/10
My Family and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times.1 because of the location and 2 for the water park, but everytime we stay here we say that is the last time.1 because the rooms are DIRTY (we found condom wrappers in one room we stayed in and on another stay the sheets had dried blood on them and we could go on and on) 2 the pool is always COLD..3 it is expensive. But this New Years was the worst we stayed for two nights and they did not clean the room utill 5:30 when we were ready to be in the room for the nightand they only made the beds and gave us new towels they did not vacuum and they cleaning staff was very rude...when you ask for the manager he is never around, our friend also had a room there and they did not get their room cleaned at all but got charged a $150.00 cleaning fee when she asked why they said because there was popcorn all over the floor and they would have to steam clean it, we could not believe what we were hearing no one even cleaned their room that day so when my friend asked them to come look at the room the man at the desk said no, they told her they would take the charge off the room if she did not stay here again she said gladly but the manager was not there to talk to her when she asked to speak with him .This was our third year going there for new years in a row with a group of friends and now our last we will all go else where . It is really too bad that such a great place is being managed so poorly, the Manager TERRY really needs to pull up his socks. The location is not worth staying at that this hotel

I'll stay at the Holiday Inn next time
By Coley, 04/01/09
We stayed at the Sleep inn for a family get together. The water park is awesome for adults and older kids. The pools are all very cold tho and the chorine levels are SO high that my eyes burned like mad, esp in the hot tube and when you are walking up the stairs for the slides. The Kiddie pool is alright but for a child 7 and up who is not big enough to go down the big slides alone the kiddie pool is a bit too young. The water was very cold and my younger kids (2 &4) did not like it. I was also surprised the air temp was so cool in the pool area. The rooms are very nice sized with everything you would need, fridge microwave etc. That was great. Beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Service was ok but nothing like a Holiday Inn. Noise level from the halls was a bit high and I wish they offered poolside rooms. BEST breakfast I ever had at a motel for totally free but the prices you pay for a room are a bit high...its the least they could do! Having the mall attached is handy to get a little shopping done. Overall, I was not too impressed. If we stayed with older kids again I would go just cuz of they enjoyed the water park. But for my family only, we would stay at the Holiday Inn Riverside...they are awesome.

Disappointed traveler
By Joann, 10/29/08
My room was dirty, dust was visible on top of headboard, on table, in addition to edge around the walls. Even the toilet was dirty. Candy and wrappers on the floor under the bedspread (pushed there?). One pillow did not have a pillow case and another pillow with case was wrinkled. Noise level of TV in adjacent rooms was too loud, requested desk clerk to contact guests; nothing was done. Problems with TV remote.

Are you kidding?
By Katie, 10/06/08
Booked this hotel for family members getting together in Minot to celebrate a few of their birthdays. Was very upset to find out that when one of my family members inquired at the front desk about a list of local churches and their service times the front desk clerk asked " Are you kidding, we don't have something like that here". How unprofessional! Maybe Sleep Inn feels like they are the best Minot has to offer but for the price (130/night)and poor customer service I would settle for second best. Also would recommend not calling the hotel directly to make reservations. Had much better luck booking the room the the 1-800 #'s service.

Dirty rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/08
We walked into the smoke free room and we were assaulted by the horrible smell of fresh cigarette smoke. I had to ask 3 times to have the bed linens changed because I did not want to sleep in someone elses DNA. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and would not drain, the shower was more like a drizzle than anything else. Never were we asked to switch rooms. we finally left on our own and went and stayed at the Grand International Inn....The rooms were clean there. I will never return to this establishment again. Overpriced and filthy.

Great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/08
Everything was great. The service and cleanliness were excellent. The water park was great and it was nice being attached to a larger mall.

Enter At Your Own Risk!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/08
We did not stay at the Sleep Inn because of LATE check in time and $150 rates, but we got wrist bands and went for a while to swim. When my husband took my 3 year old down the water slide the first time he had no idea how dangerous the PURPLE slide was when going with a toddler. My son came out with a banged up head and my husband had bruises on his chest and ribs. The slides should be marked w/ degree of difficulty. We had no idea how dangerous this slide was or we would not have taken our toddler down it. While there we spoke with another gentleman that had a tooth chipped going down one of the slides and I have read other reviews about bloody noses and knocked out teeth. The park can be fun, but people should know what they are in for! Like others that have reviewed the Sleep Inn we heard from some staying there how LOUD the people next door seemed to be talking and how little sleep they got.

They treated us special
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/08
We took a large group down for our company Christmas party - the rooms suites all the families and couples, and although the continental breakfast was always lined up, and were willing to wait it helped out the cost of the trip. We had a large hospitality room also booked for the 3 nights we were there, and the service from the staff was the best we have encountered yet with our functions. They were very accomodating, and always made sure the room was cleaned for the next day, with coffee, and fresh ice replenished. They even had their Satellite and IT tech guys get the Saskatchewan Roughrider game set up so we could watch it on the large screen. There was a little confusion with our bookings, not that we were short (thankfully), only that we were overbooked. Would definitely advise for other companies or even family get aways.
