This is what we got for our 5-STAR trade?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/10/07
We found the unit we received in trade for our unit at Mystic Dunes Wyndham Palms, in Orlando small, dark and noisy. We booked through Interval International, who rated the facility as 5-STAR.
The location, across the street from a major hospital, provided no end of traffic noise and the more than the occassional siren during the night. Both alarm clocks, in the two bedroom unit, sounded around 4:00 am our first night.
We can identify with the folks who experienced poor performance from the whirlpool. Ours never worked!
We did receive, following a 2+ hour sales pitch, a brief tour of the new "VIP ELITE" facility open to "OWNERS". While we would have rated this as an acceptable trade, it too was small by our home properties standards.
The sales pitch, advertised as a survey to assist with re-certification with Interval International, eventually revealed that the new owners, Festiva, considered the practice of booking Interval International customers into their oldest property, to be an Industry Wide practice and perfectly acceptable. Needless to say it was a NO SALE!
Color us dissatisfied. Never again at Ellington Wachesaw Plantation East or at any other Festiva property!
