HORRIBLE customer service
By ,
Sure this place is nice, but the customer service here is terrible. There is no line for check-in, so everyone waits in front of the check-in desk with no order. (ie: You'll be standing there for 15 minutes and some old lady will waltz in and talk to the check-in clerk demanding something, while the clerk is busy with another customer). Also, don't expect the clerks to actually check-in. I was waiting for at least 30 minutes, finally I was about to get checked in when the clerk decides to have a 20 minute conversation with the bell hop and then after that she pretends to do work and stares at her computer for 10 more minutes. Fantastic! After driving 5+ hours, I get to wait in the lobby for about an hour to get checked in. Bring a book when checking in.

Avoid due to checkout policy!
By ,
This is a solid 3 star hotel, but I will never go back due to its unreasonable checkout policy. Checkout is at 10:00 a.m. and for each hour you are late checking out you are fined $100.00. I was not fined because I checked out on time, but this policy is too punitive, especially if you are staying out late and partying. I asked the front desk if I could check out a bit later and they said no.

Nice enough
By ,
Everything at this hotel is beautiful. You couldn’t expect any more from a resort in the California area. However, what happened to our family, has discouraged us from ever going there again. Since we could not cool the room off, we called maintenance. For some reason, the very nice maintenance man was trying to get us to leave our room. Because we did not leave, we watched him try to remove the air filter from the heating/cooling unit. He had a tough time because it was so filthy and clogged with dirt and debris that he couldn’t remove it. We asked him if we could keep it to show a supervisor but he said it was hotel property and he took it with him. We called the desk and asked for a supervisor to come up. We waited over 2 hours and called again. We were told the supervisor had gone home and there was no one on duty at the time. When we checked out, the next morning, we told the front desk about the situation and they said they would look into it. We asked if someone could get back to us about this situation, but no one ever did. It’s a shame because it is a every nice place but it is bad on children especially ones with asthma.

Very upscale
By ,
We bought into Fairfield a few years ago and enjoy staying at their facilities. The only thing I don't like about the Las Vegas location is "no casino" And none that I can walk to at night and feel confortable. We are coming back out in Jan, 2007 and staying for two days.

I brought my laptop expecting to have free wireless Internet in my room, but found they charge $10 a day. They do have public computers open during the day and evening though. Another drawback is the 10 a.m. checkout. With the daytime heat the only time to go out is at night, so I don't know how I'll get up in time or what I will do until my evening flight. The rooms are nice but the heater turned on when I turned up my thermostat from 70 to 74! They have a few pools and hot tubs but the hot tub closest to my room has water that is not very hot. The location is not on the strip, and the shuttles stop at 10 p.m. and only run every half hour.

Not Impressed
By ,
We traded our Hilton timeshare points this year to stay at the Windham in Vegas. Although the location was good, and it was nice to have a family-oriented resort away from the strip we were not impressed with many things here compared to the Hilton resorts we usually stay in: - There are two pools, one for families with kids and one adults only. We had to stay at the kid pool but it is only 4 feet deep and very hot. This pool only gets sun early in the day, so if you go out and do things and come back to swim, you can't sunbathe at all. - The rooms in our suite were small and the furniture is very uncomfortable. Not to mention that there are only black out drapes on the windows. So you either have to be blinded by the sun, or feel like you are in a cave. - Overall, the hotel seemed dated and weather-worn. Our bedspread was very old, ripped with stains on it. The walls and carpet were marked and beaten up. - There are no on-site restaurants, just a deli in one of the buildings. My husband and I tried to order drinks by the pool a few times, and sometimes the bar was closed. We found out late in the week that they only have one liquor license. So if the bar inside the hotel is opened, they have to close the bar by the pool, and vice versa. Can't they spring for two licenses to accomodate the guests? - You have to use your hotel key to go up and down in the elevator which is very, very inconvenient. Guests were complaining about it all week because we all had incidences when you forgot your key or left it with other family members, etc. In any event, we did have a nice vacation but will not be visiting this hotel again.

Looking For Ghost? Try room 662
By ,
The place was Great. But to wake up around 02 with high heel shoes walking from right to left 2 foot above the bed across both my wife and I was really crazy. My wife woke up at the same time I did and she heard it as clear as I did. Anyone who stays in that room would have to note that there is carpet everywhere except the bathroom. Also after the high heels the trash can in the bathroom moved twice. The knocking on the wall may have been from other things but before going to bed the room it was absolutely quiet. Loved the service. Room was absolutely quiet and clean, very very nice. both my wife and I can not explain what we heard. Looking forward to our next stay.

We stay here every year!
By ,
We come to Las Vegas every year for the WPPI Photographer's Convention. The accomodations are great, it's convenient to the hotel where the convention is held (MGM). We can walk back and forth from the room to the convention. Look forward to staying here each year, this makes 3 years straight. Glad to be a Wyndham Timeshare Owner.

Very comfortable.
By ,
We were in a 2 br/2 ba suite, very roomy, at one point, the family came in before an outing and we had approx 15 people seated comfortably between both the living and dining rooms. Pools and hot tubs were nice as well.
