Overall, just great ... we'll go back!!!
By jaely, 01/03/10
We stayed as a group of four -- we really liked the location: very convenient, yet off the strip so you can relax. It was close enough to walk but the shuttle worked out well too.The shuttle is fantastic, very convenient and goes until 2:00 a.m. YEAH! We stayed a week -- really liked the stocked kitchen so we could prepare our own meals when desired and save some $$ on drinks, breakfast, etc. We also liked the fact that there was in suite laundry. The pool and hot tub were just great Friendly, helpful service and staff -- our consierge arranged a bus trip to Hoover Dam, which we really enjoyed. A+++++ in every way. We would definitely stay here again if the location fits our needs.

We loved it
By TomD, 11/04/09
Ive been reading the review of the family that stayed at this property by using thier Hilton timshare points. My wife and I felt the review was written from someone from Hilton Corp,(negative prop) We have Hilton ownership,....and if Hilton was half as nice as this place was for our stay we would have not booked here. Wish I could dump my Hilton crap and go to more places like the Grand Desert.

Okay place to stay, but not great!
By Ryan, 04/28/09
My wife and I had a 2 bdrm presidential suite on the top floor of tower three, the view was of the airport. Like the other review by "Not impressed" the decor was dated and worn and the pool only had sun for a few hours. It was nice to be able to get away from the rat race of the strip and relax. The rooms were clean but really nothing great.

We traded our Hilton timeshare points this year to stay at the Windham in Vegas. Although the location was good, and it was nice to have a family-oriented resort away from the strip we were not impressed with many things here compared to the Hilton resorts we usually stay in: - There are two pools, one for families with kids and one adults only. We had to stay at the kid pool but it is only 4 feet deep and very hot. This pool only gets sun early in the day, so if you go out and do things and come back to swim, you can't sunbathe at all. - The rooms in our suite were small and the furniture is very uncomfortable. Not to mention that there are only black out drapes on the windows. So you either have to be blinded by the sun, or feel like you are in a cave. - Overall, the hotel seemed dated and weather-worn. Our bedspread was very old, ripped with stains on it. The walls and carpet were marked and beaten up. - There are no on-site restaurants, just a deli in one of the buildings. My husband and I tried to order drinks by the pool a few times, and sometimes the bar was closed. We found out late in the week that they only have one liquor license. So if the bar inside the hotel is opened, they have to close the bar by the pool, and vice versa. Can't they spring for two licenses to accomodate the guests? - You have to use your hotel key to go up and down in the elevator which is very, very inconvenient. Guests were complaining about it all week because we all had incidences when you forgot your key or left it with other family members, etc. In any event, we did have a nice vacation but will not be visiting this hotel again.

Grand Desert was wonderful!
By Carl R, 03/04/09
We just got back from LV, after staying a week at GD. Loved it, as it gave you some down time away from the glitz and noise of the strip. We stayed on the strip last August, and just felt like we never could put our feet up. The street noise and the fountains blasting off every 15 minutes up until mid-night were at first fun but got old after a few days. GD fit the bill, as we were close to the strip but far enough away to get some rest. Will be back in August!

Las Vegas Grand dessert Wyndham resorts
By .: KIMLEE TAYLOR:., 12/08/08
truly worth of our hard earned money! Grand Dessert (or any of Wyndham resorts) most especially is great for anyone who wants great accomodations and great time while in las Vegas!. As long as you have called in your reservations in advance, then you won't be struggling with your luggages, the friendly service on the front desk and the concierge does their job fast, and you'll be in your unit in no time. get you limo ride here too. I think it is free to people who has certain number of points. al you have to do is give a generous tip to your friendly limousine driver! the pool area is fantastic and so is the rest of the amenities Like free shuttles to the strip and back, they can watch your kds for 2 hours so you and your spouse can go and eat dinner. I say you should visit, take a tour. You'll find more things that you love with each time that you stay there. we are booking our second visit this year soon!

I go every summer!
By elizabethr, 08/20/08
I have been staying at this place every summer since 2003. It is a great place to stay. They have nice pools, great parking, nice gym facility and a very friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. I reccommend this place to anyone, but be aware there is no real room service and there is no casino. If you're hungry they have a small snack shack/cafe type place.

no casino, no noise
By Anabelle, 05/16/08
I love the location being only about one block behind Planet Hollywood. The location is about a block from the center of the strip, the main attraction of VEGAS. I liked that it was off Las Vegas BLvd, because the back roads allowed me and my girls to get to the clubs on time! The room is very spacious. If you stay in the main complex attached to the lobby, you will probably have a better view of either the pool or strip. The room we had 2 bedrooms a living room kitchen... it was just like our apartment (because i went with my roomates)! We spent more time in the room than the strip because it was so comfortable.
