Great Location for Events
The location was great for Comerica Park, Ford Field, Greek Town. All within walking distance. The valet parking did add 20. per night (plus the tipping, of course) to the bill, but if any event is going on in downtown Detroit, you are going to have to pay well for parking.
The staff was efficient and very pleasant.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, but not very impressive in food or service. There is no place near by to eat breakfast that we could find, in fact restaurants in the immediate surrounding area are very few.
The room was average, in design and features, but it was immaculate. The coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge are handy. There are no snack vending machines along side the pop and ice machine, so if you want to have a snack handy, bring something with you.
The cost, of 149. and 159. per night did seem a bit much for what the hotel offers, other than being very clean and conveniently located.
I would stay there again for the ease of getting to sporting events. No traffic or parking headaches, no muss, no fuss.
