Top resort RV park.
This is an RV park with year round residents that are quite friendly. The place is well maintained and lived up to my expectations except for the Wi-Fi reception. However, if you use the nice community center it appears that the service is much better there.
I had a site right on the Sandy River which is easily accessible for fishing, floating, or swimming. I also saw a lot of birds across the river flying over the hillside above the Lewis and Clark Park. Someone said the lot of them were raptors. There are many trails to walk in the area. The major waterfalls off the scenic route is right down the hwy from here.
Downtown Troutdale is quaint and has a few very interesting stores, such as the two antique stores with an impressive collection. Take a peek in the General Store with the 60's era look that has a great selection scooped ice cream, sandwiches, taffy, and gifts. Getting their took maybe 5 walking min. There is a farmers stand that I highly recommend checking out. (Bought my Angels Trumpet plants here)
On Saturdays, there is a farmers market where I bought the freshest and tastiest eggs that I have ever had!
If you are looking for shopping, the Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets has 45 stores and is a 5 min drive or less. I regret not having gone myself. But my three girls made out and saved us Californian's a bundle on cost and taxes.
This RV park is maybe 30 min from downtown Portland and is about one hour from Mt. Hood. I do plan on coming back and do hope that Mgr. Jerry will be on his best behavior. IF not, talk to Jeff or owner Bob. They understand the importance of their RV customers.
Btw, if you have small children or teens they most likely will not find other playmates here. This appears to be an adult RV park and is definitely on the safe and quite side.
