OK, but could be better

After the grueling drive from Best Western, Coos Bay,(OR) we were exhausted. Arriving in the misty rain and practically starving, we hobbled towards the check-in desk.
The young man who checked us in was fairly nice. When we reached the room, we were a bit miffed to find out, for the outrageous price we paid, THERE WAS NO MICROWAVE!!!
The pool was OK, but it wasn't deep enough to dive or jump, and was too crowded to swim laps. Still hungry (and now wet), we asked the guy at the desk about places to eat.
Judging by the fact that is was 10:30 P.M, there wasn't anything open but McDonald's, and we had had it up to here with fast-food.
We ended up heading to Safe Way and coaxing the deli workers to make us a late-night turkey sandwich. Arriving back at the hotel, we nearly had the driver door torn off by another latecomer.
In the morning, we were rudely awoken by the screams & shouts of toddlers on the deck below our window. Ouch.
Breakfast was OK, but only after we added blueberries to the cornflakes.
All in all, it wasn't the best, but now we have something to tell the in-laws at the next family BBQ.
