If you grew up in a trailer park in the rural south, I suppose the indoor plumbing and elevators will seem lush. The employees are obnoxious and rude when ask to fix problems that they are responsible for. The decor is totally Red Roof Inn. Did I mention the service is Awful? Example: When asked to arrange for a taxi pick up to a specific restaurant, we were told airily " Oh, there are lots of taxis right outside". It was pouring rain and neither of the taxis that we flagged down knew where our Randolph Street Market district restaurant was located! We missed our reservation. I grew up in Chicago and I still believe it is the best and certainly the most civil and friendly place on the planet. You will not find those attributes on display in this dive If you are desperately cheap and have low expectations - you will love this Marriott. .

Great accomodations and very clean. Was close to everything and the Magnificent Mile. Enjoyed utilizing the workout room and pool. Overall great time. Enjoyed going to cheesecake factory during visit.

This was my first trip to Chicago as an adult and there were many questions me and my friends had. (i.e. which bus routes, where things were located, and even what was a good restaurant)SPECTACULAR SERVICE!!

My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott on Mag mIle for 5 nights and were extremely impressed!!!! The location is perfect, the service was great, room was very large and comfortable and quiet. We found the staff to be extremely informative and more than willing to help when it came to making plans for dinner, transportation, theatre, etc. We would definately stay there again!

This is a great place to stay! Only a block from the Magnificent mile, close to EVERYTHING! Wonderful service, great restaurants within walking (across the street!) Parking spaces are a bit tight, I think $26 a night for self park- which isn't too bad. Only crummy thing is that there isn't a jacuzzi in their pool area.

Good and clean, that was our first impression of everyplace we went in the hotel. Great location, close to everything we wanted to see on Michigan Ave. Staff was able to point us toward anything we asked about visiting. Bathtub in our room was very slow draining the first day but a quick phone call to the front desk got it taken care of. We don't usually stay at these higher priced places but it was nice to be downtown in a clean and secure place, close to museums and concerts. We want to go back with our kids soon. Nice firm beds, we didn't try the pool or much of anything else, saw art galleries and such downtown.

The location of the Courtyard Marriot/Magnificent Mile let's the business traveler get quickly to downtown by cab (or on foot for the fitness/environmentally conscious). It's proximity to Magnificent Mile gives you plenty of shopping choices...clothing at Gap, Hugo Boss, Nordstroms, Niketown, etc. And don't worry about forgetting necessities like your iPod or DVD player..the Apple Store and Virgin Records is a quick walk, too. As far as the hotel is concerned, the rooms are impeccable, room service is provided by Viand...a restaruant in the hotel and the staff is EXCEEDINGLY professional. This feels more like a JW than it does a Marriott. Just be careful of peak times and conferences...it can be really pricy at those times. I stayed for a month there and I honestly can't wait to go back.

From the moment we stepped into the Courtyard Marriott on the Miracle Mile in Chicago, we were greeted warmly and felt the staff genuinely enjoyed serving their customers. The high point of this hotel was its friendly and helpful staff. Not once did we feel we were imposing on staff time or asking stupid questions when we asked for assistance. On three separate occasions they directed us to excellent places to eat that only locals would know about. They also gave on us tips on places not to eat because the price wasn't worth the food being served. The location was excellent for exploring Chicago on foot. It is just a block off Michigan Avenue where the Miracle Mile is located. It's within walking distance of the John Hancock building and public transportation was easily accessible as well. Next time we go to Chicago, we look forward to staying at this Courtyard again. The hotel was squeaky clean from our room to all the common areas, the location was great and the staff provided impeccable service.

Great location and good value. Rooms are a little small but very clean. There was a great bar at the hotel for a nightcap. Great place to stay for a weekend get away.
