Babymoon Joy
By ,
Husband took me there for a babymoon- it was very clean, the front desk was very sweet to us. I had the best sleep in months. We were staying in the jacuzzi suite, the tub was VERY accommodating to my growing size-and the sparkling saskatoon berry cider in room was a beautiful touch. I can't wait to make our way back there to enjoy the hospitality again.

Not worth the cost
By ,
I booked my hotel room on a friday eveing, for check-in the following saturday. Unforseen circumstances caused me to have to cancel the room. When I called to say I would not be arriving I was told there was a 24 hour cancellation policy and my credit card would still be charged. When I questioned this, stating that most hotels allow cancellation until 4p.m. the day of check-in the young woman on the phone assured me that their policy was 4 p.m. the day prior. I told her that I hadn't even booked the hotel room 24 hours before, this did not help at all. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told to call back later as there was not one available. Overall it was just terrible customer service. Perhaps they should relook their policies.

Will never stay there again.

My hotel room rug was quite dirty around the bed and nightstand. The staff were very pleasant and friendly but I will not stay at the hotel again.

What an experience!!
By ,
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Sandman for several nights during the holiday season. The entrance and reception area was decorated beautifully and the staff greeted us with a smile everytime we would walk in or out. The rooms were welcoming, clean, and decorated nicely. There was a homey feeling to the room when you walked in that made it very comfortable. Cleaning staff did a great job of keeping the rooms cleaned and supplied, even though it was such a busy time of year. It was convenient to have the two restuarants close by and it was great to have room service when we wished. The only thing which was an issue for us was parking, with the restuarants, etc all sharing the same parking lot. Overall we had a great experience and it was a great way to spend the holidays when we were away from family. Having the staff friendly and the rooms comfortable made it a better experience than we had even hoped for. Thank you, and we will be back!

never again

There was no parking. We parked 1km away on the street after circling for 20 min trying to find a spot. The pay per view wouldn't work and front desk did not seemed concerned about fixing it. The door handles fell off to the bedroom, there were no towels available at the pool (all dirty).

We will never go back!
By ,
We reserved our room for one night with our MC, by phone, and given a confirmation number. However, when we arrived we were told in a rude tone of voice that we had booked for three nights commencing the night before so even if we had not shown up we would be obligated to pay for both nights. The employee was rude and did not believe our side of the unfortunate misunderstanding. We requested that she contact the manager and the matter was finally settled but the employee, clearly unhappy with the manager's decision did not make us feel welcomed. There was no complimentary coffee in the room and there was a soiled pair of white socks left on the floor by the previous customer. Need we say more.
