Inn on Destin Harbor, Destin

liked the lobby was very nice, the staff very friendly & great to be able to take your pet, i really like the greeting with a drink of champane. only problem we had was we booked through travelvolocity & didn't get the room we booked & paid for until i had to continue asking for the room we booked. the first staff member seemed not to care but the second one was great & changed us to what we had paid for. yes the first floor is in bad shape as for carpets & the baths in the whole thing was way too small for anyone, couldn't even take a relaxing tub bath, the beds was good & at the time we was there they was installing new mattresses on 1st & 3rd floors & yes like one guest said the saftey of the door locks on some rooms wasn't good nor was the sliding doors. some rooms looked like they was getting new bed covers which is good. yes the building is old & yes it's in a state of trying to repair it more inside. yes the first floor carpets was dirty & i coughed the whole time i was in that room but when went to 3rd floor it stopped think it was because there could have been mold in that room since so close to the water & maybe at sometime during a storm water has been in on the first floor. yes the rooms inside really needs updating. but the nice part was the harbor view & the water & yes like i said i was able to take my little dog with me & will stay there again since they allowe pets unless i can find a nicer place & yes like one review said the rooms come close to a motel 6 unless they update the walls & things. the view from the lobby was really nice. my advice to them is add another floor & turn the first floor into a gymroom & something else with a hot tub or something.

This place is o.k. to stay in while you find something nicer. Room was all to pieces. Towel bar/rack torn off the wall, carpet was nasty. Sliding door to balcony would barely open and then would come off the track. They have a beach area but I think our room was bigger. Harbor view was nice but very dissapointed in hotel. Will not go back. They do have about the only pet friendly rooms in Florida I think.

I loved everything. The service was great, all smiling faces. Great location can walk to all the great restaurants and bars or just relax by the pool or beach.

This place is an overpriced dump. The service is bad and the rooms are dingy and old looking and smelling. The beds are uncomfortable, the carpet is old, the curtains are faded. I honestly have nothing nice to say about this place.

We have always stayed "on the beach" when visiting Destin, so it was with reluctance that we checked into The Inn On Destin Harbor. - What a terrific discovery! - Very romantic, overlooking the water and yachts. A close-up view of the sea birds and sea life in the harbor. Walking distance to wonderful local restaurants. Very charming lobby! - We definitely will be repeat visitors!
