Great place to relax and unwind.
By Ralph, 10/15/12
While the restraunt was small and the menu limited, the food was as good if not bettter than you would get at any upscale restraunt. The morning free hot breakfast was delicious. The entire staff was very helpful and extremely honest. The rooms were clean and neat, and the bay view was outstanding. It was a great place to spend a few days away from one's normal day. Being there off season was even better in that it was nice and quiet, even with a full hotel. My wife and I highly recomend it to all, and we will be going back.

will never stay there again!
By Sandra, 8/9/12
We were very disappointed that this hotel was in such disrepair. The outside of the hotel was in desperate need of painting and was just plain dirty. The hotel advertised balconies with white rocking chairs outside of the rooms, but they were absolutely filthy and the foliage outside the balcony was an eyesore. We couldn't bring ourselves to sit out there. Our room inside had areas that needed to be repainted, wallpaper was literally peeling off the walls, mold in the shower, knobs missing from furniture, etc.. We were absolutely appalled at having to pay $169.00 for that room! But the worst of all was smelling mold coming from the air conditioning vents. We spent one night there and went to another hotel the next morning. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Location and ambiance...Excellent!! Cape cod look with British Colonial seaside decor. View is magnificiant!!! Service and atmosphere...Very Nice! Staff is very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast is above average and there is plenty. Would suggest adding fresh cut fruit. Value...Average CONCERNS: Tile in the bathroom was pulling away from the wall, wallpaper was curling at the seems and was being held up with blue masking tape, door frame had peeling paint and chiped wood, there was hair in the refrigerator and the comfortors were stained sheet side. CONCLUSION: Will ask for room to be checked for concerns prior to next stay.

Loved this place
By Vicky, 8/10/08
We took a chance and chose this place on internet reviews. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back. The pictures were on target and the bay view was wonderful. Sandy, the bartender, was very nice and helpful. BJ, the breakfast guru, was so considerate and pleasant. All of the staff at The Lighthouse were polite. We enjoyed visiting Rockport Beach and Port Aransas Beach. This place was close enough to enjoy Corpus Christi and had some great dining. We especially enjoyed Moon Dogs and Latitudes (Thanks for the recommendations, Sandy)!! The rooms were clean and spacious for two people (We stayed in Keepers room). We were able to see the suites and they looked really nice as well. We were glad the internet guided us to this wonderful hotel destination. Thank you to the Lighthouse staff we had a spectacular vacation. Mark and Vicky Myres

Great View
By As, 5/22/07
This hotel is beautiful and romantic, although the hotel is very kid-friendly I would reccomend this hotel for couples. Getting a room on the bay side is well worth the 10 extra dollars, you can leave your window slightly open and hear the waves at night. It is wonderful and the breakfast in the morning is awesome. It is not your average muffin and cereal! The bar is very elegant at night and I would also reccomend booking the hotel at a down-time to avoid a crowd. Please stay here it is worth it, I have stayed several other places in Rockport and this hotel is the best.

Great Family Experience
By Kamie B, 6/25/06
We stayed in a Captain's Suite for five nights (LOVED the King Size Bed). Having an infant with us, the fully functional kitchen was a dream come true. The staff was so helpful, it was great to come from outings to find even the dishes had been done! Our room was on the first floor (which was wonderful with all of the baby gear we had to move in!) and right by the pool gate. We had a truly relaxing time in the pool and plan to visit again! We loved the fact that it was close to Corpus Christi, where we visited the USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium, but was a nice, quiet town.

Great Location but
By Jimbo, 3/29/06
The lighthouse Inn is a nice newer hotel with a great view, but you do not get your money's worth, the rooms we had were both not very clean. ie. carpet, bed linens, walls. also the food and service at the in-house restuarant was the as bad as I've ever experienced... I was disappointed in my stay there.

way too expensive and crowded
By Christy J., 8/25/05
When I visited this hotel it was really uncomfortable. They seem to be trying to be all about money. The rooms are really small and seemed cramped. Although the view is nice I don't like the buildings design.

five star all the way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/17/05
Excellent service. Extrememly clean rooms. Very tastefully decorated! Situated in charming Rockport Texas, this hotel is a must for anyone traveling to the coastal bend area. I would compare The Lighthouse Inn to any five star luxury hotel in the US any day of the week!

First Rate Hotel *****
By Kathy U, 9/3/04
This is the nicest hotel in the Rockport Fulton area. The staff was wonderful. The rooms, pool and grounds are beautiful. Located on the water, with a fantastic view. We went in June and are going back this weekend. Nice place to get away to. Very relaxing. Rooms have everything, and so comfortable. Beds are first rate. Enjoyed the Library too. We have stayed at most of the places in Rockport, and this is our new favorite. Highly recommended.
