L & M Charters & Lodge, Sitka

We just got back from our trip to Alaska and really enjoyed the fishing and our stay at the lodge. We fished with Linda... it was fun and she was game on! Our boat limited in Kings, Halibut and Rock fish. The lodge was beautiful, comfortable and clean! The staff at the lodge were kind, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Linda, Mike, Issac, Laurie and Chris for making our vacation a trip of a lifetime. --Ryan and Debbie

To start, I do not agree with any of the negative comments seen in other reviews. I honestly have to believe that the negative posts must be from a competetor or personal enemy. I have gone fishing with both Mike and Linda 3 times over the last 3 years. Mike and Linda are genuinely nice people who know how to put you on the fish! Amazing dinners, service, quality fishing gear and very reasonable price. THis is the kind of people Mike and Linda are: About 5 years ago, Mike and Linda created an American Armed Services Charity Trip for men and women soldiers who have recieved purple hearts and for the parents of soldiers who have lost their lives in battle. Mike and Linda bring in 40 veterans to come stay for 4 nights and fish for 3 days at absolutley no charge for anything. Mike and Linda even have their airfare paid for! Their charity is called "Harms Way." You've probably never heard of it because the money comes directly out of L&M's pocket, as well as others in the Sitka area. Placing this amazing charity aside, they are very professional and friendly in their approach to guiding and will make you feel at home and well taken care of. Haters can go lick a quillback!!!!!

My wife and I met Mike and Linda at the Sacramento Sportsman show last year and booked a honeymoon trip to Alaska. They took the time to make sure it was a trip of a life time! The staff a the lodge was so friendly. Cris the house cleaner was always was so helpfull with anything we needed, Rich the van driver keeped us laughing every day and the food that Laurie the cheff prepared was soooo good I had to go on a diet when I got home. We have fished with L & M several times. Want to thank them for the family memories. Will always cherish the time spent with my father there. He is now gone but will have those times close in my heart forever. The staff was very kind and helpful to my elderly father above and beyond the call. We caught many more fish then ever dreamed of. My father exclaimed the best fishing trip of his life!!!!!!!! Thanks again for the memories. I'll be back for sure LC

Great fishing, superb hosts, super lodge and food ! Best was education and support for the kids. Booked our return trip for 2012.

Trip planned, flite reserved going back for trip number 6. My first trip to Sitka was in 2005 and I went back in 06, 07, 09, 10 and will be back in 2012. L & M Charters provide a great get away and excellent fishing with relaxation and good food at the end of the day. In 2007 I took my dad as he had never been fishing outside Texas. Capt Mike made sure that he caught his share and that he limited out on King Salmon each day. My dad called tonight and asked if I would take him back this summer as he will be 89 years old. I would say that he had a memorable trip. Thanks Mike and Linda. (by the way, we each took home 65 pounds of fresh Alaskan fish that year).

L&M Charters and Lodge offers the very finest in sport fishing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like kings. These folks are not just great fishing guides, but are both willing to share their extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna, history, and lore. They are also extremely appreciative and respectful of the precious resources they have the privilege of living with. We will be back every year! Thanks guys!

Had a fantastic experience at the lodge overlooking the ocean, i felt so close to the sea. The safe were helpful and friendly. Honestly, i wasn't expecting the outstanding meals I was served on a daily basis. Fishing was plentiful and exciting. It was a pleasure to stay with these fine people, I felt I was treated as family. Cannot wait to return.
