Cavallo Point - the Lodge At the Golden Gate, Sausalito

You have to check this place out. Once the most underused public places in the Bay, it has been completely revitalized as the most stunning joint I have seen in YEARS!!!!! High end food and bar, amazing historic and LEED compliant hotel rooms that range in price from cheaper than anything to WHOAH.. pricey but MORE THAN WORTH IT. Some of the views are, without a doubt, the finest views of a city in the world. The view of the bridge is absolutely insane, and this is one of those places that doesn't suffer from fog. If Fort Baker/Cavallo is socked in, so is everywhere in the bay. And... if you don't have a view of the bay and bridge, you end up feeling removed and secluded as if you were in the middle of Yosemite. This place drives me bonkers with pleasure. The Art, the programs, spa.. etc. I could ramble forever about it. And the Parade Ground? Best picnic / kite flying / dog playing place in the world. It is like... I dunno.. 15 acres? It is just insane. Okay... obviously I was pleased to find this place. Enjoy it too!!!!!!
