Cheap/Clean/Weird

Plusses: Nice room at a good price ($60 with tax 9/09 AAA). We're locals who stayed at Microtel/Pt Charlotte for 5 days while our air conditioning was replaced. Nice, helpful front desk staff. 2 weirds: 1) We had to have our room re-keyed EVERY day. 2) You have to ASK for room service with this little plaque. Took us 2 days to figure out their system, and boy do they have feisty cleaning ladies!!

No complains about cleanliness. Room was very clean. It has a flat screen TV. The walls are not that thick. You can hear the TV on the room next to yours. If you want to have a nice silent sleep, don't stay here. Continental breakfast was very poor. A fast food will do better on that. If you do reservations online, on a 3rd party website, call in advance to the hotel to make sure you are on the system. Otherwise, you will waste a lot of time while you contact your 3rd party agent, and fix everything. I found it is expensive for the type of service I received. It is in a very nice location. Near I-75 and near a lot of restaurants.
