Turf Motel & Rib Room, Charles Town

The food I ate at the so called free breakfast was so bad the the only way you could get it out of the kitchen was to give it away for free. We gave them a second chance and went back for lunch and wished we hadn't. Service was so slow we walked across the street to the Wendy's and got faster service. Now if only the servers at the Rib Room worked as hard as the servers at the Wendy's did I would have felt better about leaving the tip I did. The only saving grace was the fact that this place is located next to the tracks. The chef of this place needs to properly train his staff on presentation of the food. YOU EAT WITH YOUR EYES FIRST. Mine vomited at the breakfast table. The room was not what I expected when I asked for the suite. I thought that the room attendents would at least vaccum the floor and empty the waste basket. Guess they don't till the can is full. Enough said about this place.

I did not stay at the hotel but being a Rib Lover, the name of the restaurant lured us right in. The atmosphere should have given it away. It appeared to be an upscale setting, not what you would expect to see where the focus is tearing up some really good sloppy ribs! In fact, THERE WERE NOT EVEN ANY RIBS ON THE MENU! There was a special on the table. We were starving after a long day of touristing so decided to go ahead and try it out. I had the chix marsala w/cheese tortellini. Okay, I swear the marsala sauce was watered down Heinz Gravy. The torts, were obviously low grade freezer aisle crap and there were six thin slices of chix. What? Are you kidding me?! My husband's food was not good either, and the part where they say homemade mashed potatoes...Homemade right out of the box! The prime rib sandwich, was 90% fat and unless you like gooey smushy jelly fat, it too was awful. My son had the chix parm. All I can say it thank god for Ragu and we ate it. Oh, and the baked potato soup, we took one bite and if we could have spit it out, we would have. All this for only $94.00! The waiter was kind enough to take $10.00 off the bill. The waitress was okay but she really should have noticed that most of what she brought out, went back. If you are looking for some good food, go somewhere else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The bartender, Hope, is a very sweet and caring person. Will the restaurant Manager also was a very nice person. As far as the employees at the front desk, they didn’t know what they were doing. When we arrived on 4-16-2010 we told them we wanted to put half of payment on one credit card and the other on another credit card. Well they charged my credit card twice. Then they so called credit it back. I called the bank and they had still the same charge on my card. So I had to give them another credit card, because they had messed it up so much I couldn't use my original card. I called the manager Tiffany at the front desk to explain what happened, and she said it would come off of my card in 3 to 5 days. Well guess what? It still hasn’t come off of my card yet. So I called Tiffany the manager again, and she hung up on me. Some manager she is. No good manager would have done that. I have never had such poor customer service as that before, and I deal with people everyday. And the new girl that messed up everything: if she didn’t know how to split the difference up she should have asked somebody. She inconvenienced my hold day, and not only that I can’t even use my dam card until this mess is cleared up. I will be contacting the owners on this matter. I travel a lot and I have never ever had such a mess trying to get my refund back which was $347.20.

I LOVED THE APARTMENT ROOM WE HAD IT WAS NICE AND CLEAN . I ALSO LIKED THE TELEVISION SETS IN EACH ROOM,

My Motel room was very dirty and dingy, but I was so tired I just wanted to eat something and to go to bed. when I lifted the covers a cockroach scampered off the bed. I didn't bother to ask for another room as I knew already this was the last one. Luckily I had a sleeping bag, but needless to say I did not sleep well knowing I was not alone. Furthermore the room was almost $100. I travel in this area frequently and will not be staying at the Roach... I mean, Turf motel again

We stayed on Christmas and really enjoyed the room . It had everything you could possibly need when away from home [refrig. ,microwave, etc.]. The beds where very comfortable. We enjoyed our free steak and egg omelet [ it was a avery filling breakfast.]. We be celebrating our 37 wedding ann. in Mar. And may make reservation. Thank you for a great nights sleep.

I just stay there for a old motel it was not bad, they do need to up date what they call a suit would be called that in other motel or hotel, no coffee pot, iron, or alarm clock, for the price they charge for it to be a suit they need up date. I will stay there again for convence it was clean and the staf was friendly and helpful.

With the Inn at charlestown full we rolled the dice on this more inexpensive motel,WE WIN! A clean nice room and Free Steak and Omelet breakfast! I Right next to the Slots entrance.I will be a regular!

staff was friendly,courteous,and efficient. the breakfast was delicious. close to the casino,and the price was good comparable to other hotels in area. will stay there again when in the area. ml,from florida
