Rodeway Inn near Legoland, Carlsbad

We booked this hotel because of the promised wireless connection and Jacuzzi. The wireless connection was EXTREMELY unstable and for 2 days it was impossible to connect. The jacuzzi was on lock-down. We had to call the office in order for the water to be turned on and the power jets were on a timer that had to be released by office staff. After calling and requesting it still did not work. No iron in rooms, excessively loud and inefficient A/C unit, had to leave windows closed due to highway noise, had to pay for ice, complimentary breakfast was a joke (2 choices of sugar laden cereal, mediocre danish, no fruit, toast or bagels). Rooms were attractive and clean but service is bare bones and not as promised. Staff seemed unconcerned about the lack of internet connectivity and the malfunctioning jacuzzi. Refund never offered and request was ignored. I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone hoping for a relaxing vacation. If all you want is a place to sleep before hitting the road again I would also caution you due to the traffic noise and inefficient A/C.

Very surprised to find such value for the money. Staff was great and rooms are in excellent condition. Free Wi-FI, nice pool and even laundry on site. We didn't want to leave. Had a great trip and we'll make sure to visit again.

The friendliness, professionalism of the staff, especially Iam. The rms was clean, towels were fluffy, bed was more comfortable than our own!

The Rodeway Inn is clean, modern and affordable. Rooms have everything you need for a one night to one month stay. Even has laundry. Staff is extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Many complain about the freeway noise but we did not have any issues.

Very surprised to find a small motel like this with all the comforts of home. Guest laundry on premises, wireless internet and a nice little continental breakfast. Great value for the money, we'll be going every summer when we visit Carlsbad.
