This hotel simply handles everything for you. I did not have to lift a finger for the entirety of the trip. Yes, it may be more expensive than some hotels in Quepos/Manuel Antonio, but it is worth it. Also, from what I found, the Gaia hotel restaurant is simply unsurpassed in the area. Make sure to book a package that includes free breakfast. The package also provides activities (like zip-lining or snorkeling), so it is worth it.
The only problem we had during our stay was that my friend had a small amount money stolen from his money clip presumably by the cleaning person. We reported the incident and this was immediately followed up by a phone call and apology from the owner along with repayment of the money.
***Overall, the stay at this hotel was a entirely relaxing experience, and I would definitely stay there again if I return to Quepos/Manuel Antonio.
This place is amazing! Set on 14 acres where the hotel only takes up 2. It is a small (20 rooms) luxury adults only hotel and the only 5 star in the Quepos/Manuel antonio area. It has a 3 tiered infinity pool, fab restaurant (the very best in the area), unbelievable spa on site and the most gracious staff. They have many packages to choose from. We took the Adventure Package with included many options including transportation to and from the resort from San Jose. Very convenient. It also included several tours both of which are first class. Everything was arranged and all we had to think about was what to have in the evening for dinner. The full course breakfast served in the restaurant overlooking the rainforest and Pacific Ocean was truly something to look forward to each morning. We left Gaia feeling refreshed and at peace. We added several days on the end of the three day package and wanted to stay even longer. Don't miss this one! It is pure luxury without any attitude. We can not wait to return.
