Judy's Motel, Bedford

As soon as I walked into the office and told the manager my name, he jump all over me about another customer "that he had no rooms reserved". Why was that my problem?Then he told me the guy was no road manager, he didn't know how to do the job. (There were 2 rooms booked for the customer he was talking about.) Well, apparently he doesn't know how to talk to customers and solve problems. (He doesn't know his job either.) But the problem is the guy that is managing at this office. If you talk to the lady, she is very helpful and VERY NICE! My husband tried to talk to him, he told my husband "HE DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR IT". Well, I didn't want to hear it either, but I was told about it anyway. HE WAS VERY, VERY, VERY ARROGANT! He was also rude on the telephone. Would not recommend this motel..

I read Jason P's review on this site and decided to give Judy's a try. It was everything he said, and actually, much more. I was on my way to DC from Chicago. When I arrived at 9pm, my car died on me and would not start. The owner helped me push it to the parking space at my room and said he would be there in the morning to jump start it with his car when i was ready to leave (7am). He was there as promised, and after two tries, got me running. He then escorted me to a car repair shop several blocks away and asked the owner to take care of me. It ended up being a bad alternator as the battery would not hold a charge. The shop had me in and out in a little over an hour and charged me a fair price! Judy's owner even offered to take me to get a breakfast sandwich while I waited. Great consideration and service by the owner of the hotel (and shop)! I haven't even mentioned the room yet! It was as Jason says. "A great value for an honest price and innkeepers who treat their guests like "real guests"". Not the Ritz Carlton, but a clean comfortable place to park for the night for a fair price. As a recommendation, if you can, make your reservation directly with Judy's. The internet services all take a large cut out of the room rate. Places like Judy's need all the help they can get to survive the fate of so many other hotels that are over priced, not clean and with rude staff. Go Judy's. I will be back some day!

I'm a single female. I needed to stop on the turnpike, and was a little wary about having to spend the night in a strange place alone. I was really glad I found this place about two miles from the turnpike toll booth. It was a quiet hotel, the owners (a husband and wife) were really sweet and made me feel at home and secure. They even personally came to my room to show me how to set the locks (not that they were needed, however.) So clean! And i was surprised that they had wifi internet, for as small a place as they are!
