Timberline Lodge, Arnold

We stayed at the Lodge this past July 4th weekend during a visit to Big Trees State Park. The Lodge is conveniently located near restaurants and stores on Highway 4 in Arnold, CA. However, our room was dirty: there were stains all over the carpet, dusty, sagging couches that looked like they had been salvaged from a fraternity, and old, dusty bed covers. Also, the electric room heater was loud, and the TV did not work. The manager, Liz, was nice enough. The Lodge should be cleaned and renovated.

Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. It was very inexpensive and within walking distance to different places to eat.

The rooms are very clean, staff was great. We had a room with a fireplace and it was very nice. For a queen bed and a fireplace, it was well worth it.
