The room was very clean (non-smoking a plus) The decor is lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only two blocks for the beach and only a few minutes from anything you might need including gift shopping. The rates can't be beat. We will surely stay here again.

Do not stay here if you expect to have somewhere to stay. I recieved an email from "management" two days before my reservation explaining that they were overbooked. To make the situation worse I was sent the email at 5:03 pm as the manager is walking out the door and doesn't have to deal with it. Below is the actual email I was sent. What a joke Sorry, Due to an overbooking situation we have had to cancel your reservation for this Saturday. There will be no charges to tour credit card. Manager Island Inn of Atlantic Beach

The couple at the front desk were very nice and friendly. The room is very clean and comfortable. It is a very quiet place and family friendly. I just loved the scottie- April- a great front desk greeter!!!! I will stay there again ( and bring my pet with me)!!!

Great location from beach. Only 2 blocks away from beach access. Grocery store was right down the street. The rooms are decorated with bright beach colors. They did a great job renovating. The room was huge! Plenty of space. I am very peculiar about cleanliness in hotel rooms. I was very impressed. Our stay was great! We will be back!

the Island Inn is a great place to stay, We stayed in the the second floor 1 bedroom suite with pullout queen sleeper sofa in livingroom and would highly recommend it. It has lots of privacy, a private deck on back and full kitchen and living room. the 4 of us ( my husband of 2 teenage boys) had plenty of space and the bathroom was huge and exceptionally clean!! (cleaner than a 4 star hotel we stayed in Puerto Rico in 2010) We had plenty of towels the whole weekend. the pool was clean and we were just a few walking blocks from the beach, and so convenient to so many other places that my boys and I like to walk to when we go to atlantic beach. the staff was very nice and made sure we were satisfied with our stay. Years ago we stayed here when it was the Budget Inn on our honeymoon. They have remodeled this place and it is absolutely beautiful. The colors are so bright and cheerful and the room was very clean. This is the only place for us to stay when we come back to Atlantic Beach. The staff was very friendly and this makes you want to come back to the Island Inn.

Love staying at the Island Inn. We are return customers and have enjoyed our visit each time. We have stayed in the rooms with 2 queen beds as well as the suite with 1 queen and pull out couch. Both rooms were nice and just what we needed for a family of 4. The suite has a full kitchen (stove, small fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and dishes/utensils for 4). We enjoyed lots of channels on the TV, and had wi-fi for our laptop. Since we can't afford a place with ocean view, this place is perfect. It's affordable and not too far from the beach. We could walk to shops and the circle at Atlantic Beach, and drive just over the bridge to Morehead City. It is clean and comfortable and the staff and property manager were great (they even called us when it got late to see if they needed to make arrangements for us to get our key after office hours for check-in). We will definitely be back!

Courteous staff, free wi-fi, very quiet. Close to the beach, and easy access to attractions, food, and shopping. Very nice decor and it felt like it was my home while I was there. Good lighting and parking right outside my door. I hope they have an open room the next time i visit!

My family which includes two kids ages 8 and 10 stayed here and it was FANTASTIC and we also booked sight unseen from the internet. Location,location new clean, clean clean loved the decor. Beach walking distance, restaurants (McGurdy's) recommended from front desk awesome with view and great seafood. Only 1 small recommendation update your towels and washcloths.
