for starters, we had to wait 3 hours for them to get a room "cleaned" up, when we did come back to get the room, it was hot as hell, the carpet was nasty, the bathroom vent on the wall had stuff running down from it, the bathroom floor was dirty. Yet we had to wait 3 hours for them to get the room "cleaned" up for us. I was gonna call the front desk about the floor, however the phone did not work. So, I had to walk to the lobby, the front desk clerk was rude about it but said she would sent the maid. The maid came and went over it with her bagless vac. It still looked the same. I go to turn the TV on, put it on a channel, the channels just rolled across the screen. The pool was God awful nasty. My mother went back to the front desk to complain about the A/C still not cooling the room, and about the TV and the phone not working. Rude clerk sends the maintenance man to "fix" everything, he leaves the room, next thing we get a call from the "manager" kicking up out because we had "guests" in our room. We were in Lubbock visiting from out of state, and my cousin had brought my 84 year old grandmother by the room because my family was planning to go out and have dinner. After walking to the front desk to inquire about being kicked out (because I couldn't call, the phone did not work) she told me that had a "no guest policy" I asked her if she advised my mother of this when she rented our room, she advised me that "it is in the fine print" on the sign in paperwork. Never in my life have i heard of a hotel not allowing guests. Next time I'll read the fine print I guess. I asked about a refund, rude clerk stated they don't give refunds. We had paid for two nights. All this, plus the police activities that were going on in the parking lot. Not sure what that was all about, but If we would have saw the room before we paid, we never in a million years would have stayed there. I would have rather slept in the car, It would have been just as hot as the room with no A/C. Nasty, nasty, nasty, and did I say NASTY. Do you get what I'm saying? It was Freaking NASTY. If you have some sense please find somewhere else to stay if you ever go to Lubbock.
This is the nastiest place that I have ever stayed. They do not have an ironing board. It looks like noone has cleaned in YEARS. I stay in motels ALOT and this was by far the worst experience that I have had. It seems like there are many people that live there and have a fondness for the pipe..if you know what I mean. It is like a crack house!! DO NOT STAY THERE! My high school athletic teams use to stay there 20 years ago and it was a really clean place that was fun because of the indoor pool...well, I don't think that they have even changed the bedspreads since then.
