The Hotel Granada of Nicaragua built in 1976 is the biggest hotel in the city with a total area of 14,782 square meters. Since it*s beginning, the hotel has been the forerunner of tourism in the city of Granada. The property is settled in a magnificent area located in front of Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe church. The hotel has the privilege of being within three blocks from the historic center of the city and two blocks from the Gran Lago De Nicaragua. The comfort, peacefulness and the professional level of its staff distinguish the hotel.

great staff

the food was excellent, the pool is huge they have fresh fruit trees next to the pool that you can pick if it is ripe (I got star fruit and limes they had bananas mango's and coconut too) I was their in the off season so the place was pretty empty but we were taken care of great the rooms were cleaned daily by friendly staff the door man always had a smile and good information on what to do in town. no matter where I went in Granada it seemed as if people were not in any hurry to go anywhere nice relaxing place I would love to go back again.

You could do a lot better

I selected the hotel because it was closer to the lake than the nicer hotels around the plaza square. Also it was a lot cheaper than those hotels. Unfortunately the air conditioner was loud, the television didn't work, the showerhead was missing, and the pool was in repair. The next morning the hotel restaurant served a great omelette and cafe con leche. Overall I was glad to leave the hotel.
