Barcelo Corralejo Bay, La Oliva

I emailed the hotel ahead of our arrival on 11th June and requested the same room as we had last year. The reception staff were very pleasant and had reserved the room we wanted. We were given a token for towels to use on the sun beds. (towels can be changed each day) The hotel has a great location, very near to the shops but just far away from the noise from the bars. The only noise problem we encountered was from barking dogs belonging to a couple of the private villas near the hotel. The entertainment seemed to have improved this year,although to get a decent view of the acts you need to arrive early as the stage is obsucured by large columns. The buffet style dining is fine but a little repetative, we found a great mexican restaurant just to have a change. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols but if you want your favorite area of the pool you need to be there for 9am. This was our second visit to this hotel and we will definately be going back next year. The waiters and bar staff are very helpful and polite but seem a little overworked some days. Snacks and drinks can be charged to your room and settled up at the end of your stay. We booked with Thomas Cook Select and enjoyed a few extras in our holiday package. We had our own taxi from the airport and back, 25 kilos lugggage allowance a complimentry drink and headphones on our flight. Overall we found the hotel and resort more suited to couples and very you children, there is not much for teenages there.
