Days Inn, New Orleans

Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Room fairly clean. Pool not in service,water green. Room and parking lot infested with swarms of ants. The worst was when we started cooking the smells attracted the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen from ceilings and woodwork and under the sink. We left immediately. When asked why leaving by front desk person we told him. He laughed and said,"you must not be from around here." Told him we have cockroaches back home too, not this big and I definitely do NOT sleep with them. If you don't mind the bugs this is an allright place to stay, the room was clean except for bugs and all appliances worked. Rated so low just because of the bugs.
