Devonshire Motel and Restaurant, Windsor

I cannot believe to see few bad reviews about this place. I have been travelling to Windsor for last 28 years on a regular basis and always been staying here. I know it is approx. 4 miles from the Casino or downtown area but its what you pay, what you get. (You cannot get a room for $50.00 at the Casino). Rooms are in decent condition and clean 'n' fresh enough for you to stay there for as long as you desire. It has a bed, couch, table/chair and a bathroom. WiFi and Ice were provided at no charge. I know when you will go there, you might not be impressed because it is an old building and require some maintanence. But I have also been to other motels nearby as well and I am sure I can say that their rooms are as good as theirs. I stay here because of VALUE, SERVICE & HOMELY ENVIRONMENT. The family who runs the place is extremely friendly and homely. They work hard all day long and their service is unimaginable. To prove that, my car broke down on 410 just outside of Windsor on my last route and believe it or not, they picked me up from there for free. (NOW THAT'S A SERVICE). I asked them why did you do pick me up, they responded "you are more valuable than money". That statement alone touched me deep. I felt really great and lucky to see some GREAT HUMANS. Once again, I have been going there for long and will continue my trend. I do recommend people to go there.

Likes: Amazing service, inexpensive & comfortable room. Dislikes: Need to upgrade the parking lot.
