Patriot Suites Hotel, Pittsfield

The Patriot Suites has been closed for over 2 years! Why are they still even on this site?

My job gave me a V.I.P. Pass to stay here at this Hotel for 3 Days 2 Nights for 4 adults. the pan flit said the package costs $495 and the photos on it showed Vacation Condos and I figured that was what we were going to be staying in. Not know what the place really was. When we arrived at the Patriot Suites Hotel we were surprised to see it was a normal hotel. We gave the place a chance and went to our room. The room was nice but to our amazement we noticed only 2 beds and a fold out couch for 4 male adults to share. We ended up being charged $15 for a small fold down bed for our forth guest. After staying there we notice how noisy the rooms were. Every step in the hall or room above could be herd. The furniture looked comfy but really weren't. As you sat on the couch the comforters would flatten and you'd find yourself siting on the metal from of the pull out bed. One of my friends that slept on the pull out bed and couldn't sleep cause of a bar against his back. The rest of the beds were fine. The building has a bad water system. When ever someone wanted to shower we'd have to wait 2 mins for the hot water to reach us. Even the sinks would do the same. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. As for the cleaning staff I found them lazy. When they came to clean we decided to leave and let her clean our room. When we got back there was only one bed made and used towels were still on the floor and were not taken. The floor even didn't look vacuumed. They also have a complementary breakfast. When we went to the room we found danishes, stale bagels, cream cheese that seemed so warm like it was left out for days, and miss labeled cereal that also seemed stale. If you were to vacation in the area, I would try a different hotel. We were left unsatisfied with our stay and we will never go back here even if it was free again.

We stayed at the Patriots for over a month when our house had mold and water damage. We took up two suites and the staff could not have been nicer and more understanding. I think many people stay there as they are getting sold on timeshares, but it is the best kept secret in the Berkshires for people staying there for their vacation, for a relaxing romanitc time, etc. We loved it there. While they are doing construction on one half of the building to update it, I wondered why as I thought the place was very nice and couldn't see the need for new carpets and such. They said they were sound proofing and this I could understand as sometimes I heard people above me and to the side and kids running down the halls. I appreciate that they are doing something about it and more. They upgraded their internet service to high speed and now everyone in the whole hotel can use it wireless. Best parts were the terrific jaccuzi pool, continental breakfast cleanliness, and very friendly and accomodating staff every day. For a home away from home it was the best!
