Free breakfast was excellent. We made reservations in May. I called on 8/31 to confirm and all seemed to be OK. Upon arrival 4 hours later, I find that we are on a smoking floor in a smoking room (we don't smoke). The desk clerk (who answered the phone earlier) asks why I did not know about it. I tell her that I spoke to YOU, why did you not tell me then? She herself does not understand what happened and cannot give me an explanation. We get the room for half price as compensation for both nights. By the time we check out, it is clear that the A/C is leaking onto the carpet in front of it. Several rooms on the 3rd floor are masked off because they are doing renovations on that floor. We acquired a bottle of Febreze from the housekeeping staff to spray on the carpet - that's what they were using to "clean" the room. The odor in the hall was strong.
I would strongly suggest that if another hotel has an opening that you go there. The manager at this hotel will cancel your reservations. This happened to me. I reserved a room at this hotel 3 months in advance. A month prior to my arrival, the manager cancelled my resservations. The manager told me that I called him at 1:30 in the morning on a Friday and cancelled my reservations. That was an outright lie. Upon speaking with manager he offered no assistance or compensation. DONT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!!!
The front desk staff was curtious and very helpful! Rooms were very clean and I melted in the bed, that's how comfortable it was. I was just here for a night, but everything went very smooth and easy. I commend the housekeeping and maintenance staff, being a military spouse we travel constantly, this was the only hotel I did not find a fault in. And I assure you, I am very picking where my family and I stay. Thank you to this hotel. I will stay again.
This is a pretty new place. Which means it has even more NEW people. Checking in, Checking out, anything dealing with the front desk takes at least 2 or 3 people. The maid service is horrible. I stayed there for a week and they never changed the sheets or the coffee packages that they give you for their in room coffee pots. The breakfast is all cold. The beds were pretty comfortable, in between waking up several times a night to pull out the feathers that have been sticking out of the pillows. Ouch. The fitness center is a joke. 3 out of 4 of the machines dont work. They wont tell you when you book the room that the pool is closed. Not very many channels to watch on tv. About 50. I got a pretty good deal for the room because they were trying to keep up the occupancy, but I would never pay full price to stay here.
