Gulf Waters Rv Resort, Port Aransas

We stayed 5 months at this resort and liked everything about it. The office staff is very cordial and accommodating. The resort is extremely clean and by far the nicest on the island. The walk over the dunes to the adjacent ocean is a short walk and pets are welcomed. It's about 10 minutes to all the Port A shops and restaurants and about 25 minutes to everything in Corpus. We stayed in space 742 and would recommend it for your stay. Beautiful on site ponds, palm trees and level concrete spaces with lots of run between these privately owned lots.

Booked a 4 day weekend for may family of 4, Had a confermation from Gulfwaters, when we arrived we were told that they canceled our reservations after we drove 3 hours, the staff was very rude and told us the decision was made by Management, after finding an RV Park to stay at I contacted Management just to be told they were sorry but had to let the local Management make the decision, this is what I was told by one of the new owners, if this is what is going to happen after having a confirmation and not knowing when you arrive if you have a spot I will just find another RV Park to stay at, now I know why so many owners are selling if I owned a property at Gulfwaters and local management was deciding who can stay after a 3 hour drive even with a reservation and upper management didn't care I would sell to.

My family waited for weeks to get a reservation at Gulf Waters. There was a delay in confirmation of reservation because of recent ownership change. We finally made contact and had reservations for Aug 5th thru Aug 8th. They mistakenly made reservations for the weekend before, and we were marked as "no shows". Hardly accurate. We arrived at the facility around noon on Friday, Aug 5th. I asked about the limit of the number of people per RV. I was told the limit was 6. I asked if I could pay extra if we went over the limit. I was told the limit was 6. No exceptions. I changed the number of people staying in our RV to four. My extended family would have to stay at a nearby hotel. I was told by new management that they would not be able to honor the reservation. I asked why, and several times I, and in a later conversation with my husband, we were accused of sneaking additional people into our RV in the middle of the night. I was threatened with immediate eviction if we were found to have too many people staying in the RV. Accusations, threat, refusal to honor reservation, additional accusation made to my husband in the presence of our two daughters. No one should tolerate such treatment. Consumers have choices. I choose not to be treated with such disrespect.

Staff was friendly, park was easy to navigate. It's a bit pricey, but worth it to have a nice peaceful setting and close to beach. It was a little windy to cook out, so it's nice to find restaurants within a close proximity.We found The San Juan Restaurant in town - if you like real Mexican food, it's wonderful and very moderately priced!
