Surprise Birthday Party
My thanks to the staff for a wonderful weekend. We had a surprise birthday party for our 9 year old granddaughter this weekend. We rented two adjoining rooms, so the four girls could stay in one room and we could stay in the less noiser room. The room we put the girls in was actually a handicap room: I don't know if the staff did this on purpose but the beds were lower to the floor and was the perfect height for the girls.
This is the perfect place for a break from winter. The girls swam for a few hours, we had dinner at the restaurant, took a little break to open presents, a short pillow fight, a few jumps on the bed, (mom's don't allow that at home, but you know how grandparents are) and then back to the pool. The next morning we had the breakfast buffet in the restaurant and our fun weekend came to an end.
My thanks to all the staff, everyone was friendly, helpful, and pleasure to talk to.
The girls loved the large aquarium in the front lobby.
Compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed in the put some extra thought into this one.
Instead of vending machines they have a small shopping area behind the front desk where you can by snacks, sodas, and other drinks without having to have exact change for a vending machine.
The pool area is great, that is where we spent most of the time.
This morning when we got up it was snowing, the view from the large windows in the rooms was wonderful. At the ends of most hallways there are windows from the floor to the ceiling. I even missed the elevator once because I started looking out the window at the snow.
Again thanks for a wonderful weekend. It will be happy memory for the girls forever.
