Smart Hotel in Great Location
By Jen, 11/14/11
I stayed at the InterContinental with a handful of friends for a bachelorette party. We had an excellent time. The hotel design is smart, modern and well-done. The location was great - we could walk to Union Square, the MOMA, the Convention Center, Night Clubs and easy access to all the bus/BART lines. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks at the hotel bar are very expensive, so I'd recommend skipping them and heading out into the City for any eating and drinking excursions. I enjoyed the hotel so much, I recommended my parents stay here on their visit to SF. They too really enjoyed the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here and especially if you can find a screaming deal online (like we did).

Wonderful Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/11
I stayed here with my husband and we had a wonderful time. The hotel was nicely designed and the staff were fantastic. It had great sense of arrival. We were greeted by the staff from the door and well taken cared of at the check-in desk. The club lounge had fresh refreshments every time we visited. They also have excellent selection of wine at night. The room we stayed in was very relaxing with a nice view. The design and colors were very simple and subtle. In regards to the previous post about not having a closet, I thought that too when we checked in. The closet had a regular door that looked like a door to an a joining room. It took us a minute to realize it. It was also tricky to open. We thought it was locked but you actually have to pull it to swing open. I think that was the problem. I don't think a hotel room with out a closet exist. Over all I think the hotel is great. The location is very convenient to everything. It was close to restaurants, shops and public transportation. I would stay here again.

Too expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/09
Room cleanliness was good, but only a 1 cup coffee pot & 2 servings per day. With what you pay for the room, should be able to offer more coffee. Also, said they had an iron and ironing board but didn't even have a closet. Pretty disappointed in the hotel. WILL NOT STAY AGAIN
