Lovely Celebrities Hotel, Montreal

We stayed at the hotel in October. Because our flight was getting in early, I conatacted the hotel a week before to ask for an early check in and was told it would not be a problem, to just call the day before to ensure this would happen. We arrived at 11am and was not able to check in until 3!. We booked our trip through a travel site and paid to have our room upgraded. The room they gave us was horrible to say the least and, after a bit of a hassle, they gave us a new one but it was nothing like the pictures on the site that prompted us to book there in the first place. Unfortunately, when checking out, we had forgotten two articles of clothing in the room. I promptly called the hotel, gave them my visa number and asked them to mail them to me. I did not think this was too much to ask but apparently it was. It has been three months, I have been guarenteed 3 times that the articles were sent but have yet to receive them. And no one, not even the manager, will return a phone call or reply an email. I would NOT recommand this hotel to anyone!

I posted a review on-line the other day and the rating of this motel has been changed without my consent. This motel has bed bugs! The service was terrible. My friend and I stayed at this motel for $122/night and were excited about the location. We checked into this hotel at 8 pm and noticed the toilet wouldn't flush. I went to the front desk and they handed me a plunger and told me to fix it myself. The next morning, my friend found bed bugs all over her bed. We again, went to the front desk and informed them about the situation and they treated us as if we were over reacting. They will not work with us to refund our money even though we immediately checked ourselves out of the motel.

Upon checking in, we noticed the toilet wouldn't flush. I went to the front desk at 8:00 pm and the person working the desk said there was no one that would fix it at "this time of night." He then handed me a plunger and asked me to plunge it myself. The next morning, we woke up and noticed dozens of BED BUGS!!! They were on the sheets, pillow cases and comforter (what we could see with the naked eye). I told the person at the desk and said I would not stay in this motel as this was unacceptable. He acknowledged that this was the second incident reported to the motel. He then asked me to come back at 8:00 am when the manager would come in. I came back to the desk at 8:00 am and the woman said the manager would be in later in the afternoon. She would not give me the name of the manager and said unless the manager approved, I would not receive any refund even though I was cheking myself out and not staying for the second night. I was willing to pay for the first night and not the second but the motel refuses to work with me. Service was less than acceptable. They never asked us to show them the BED BUGS. They made us feel as if we were making this up and over reacting.

we loved the decoration and glamourous french style , the room was large enough and quite clean.. it's also good to notice the staff's kindness, they were friendly and willing to help... i highly recommand it...

We stayed for 5 nights in the celebrities hotel and we're very impressed. The lobby is an amazing sight when you first walk in. Our room was both spacious and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We couldn't fault anything during our stay and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else if we are lucky enough to return to Montreal some day. The "Clebrities hotel" is in an ideal central location and is close to the metro, and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the old port of Montreal. The Hotel is steeped in history and has had many famous guests in it's time. We only had breakfast in the hotel.

Having visited Montreal many times and stayed in many hotels, this one was excellent. Would highly recommend it!

This hotel is in a converted row house in a great location and has a great price. It is not a hotel for the typical American tourist expecting the typical American amenities. If you are looking to be spoiled and pampered or plan to spend alot of time in your room, you should spend the extra money to stay in a conventional hotel. This is more like staying at your eccentric Aunt Jane's house -- no elevator, lots of funky decor and mismatched furniture, a bit noisy, small rooms, and not everything working quite exactly right. But it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is simple - croissant and coffee -- but there are lots of nearby options for a bigger meal. Within walking distance of Chinese quarter, restaurant district, fun shopping streets, and Old Port. Parking for a fee around the corner in the hospital lot.

We loved the modern and well-designed rooms. The bathroom was also clean and bright with nice tiling in the large, double-doored shower. The bedroom was small but seemed bigger than the 209sqf. m. we were expecting from our booking confirmation. The open fire in the foyer is a nice touch. We didn't go for the 5 euro breakfast but instead opted for the cafe two doors down which was exceptionally good value for montreal. old montreal, Church of notre dame old montreal Latin Quarter and the wide array of restaurants along Rue st denis . We recommend les 3 brasseurs We really liked the deal we got which was if you book and pay in full well in advance you save considerably. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE SPECIAL OFFERS...

We stay for Christmas , last week . we had a great stay, lovely room and staff especialy Francis and Soumia at Lobby . Every day they recommend what to do . we had internet in the room , breakfast cont - parking in the hotel , but we had to book before - warm atmosphere we feel like in paris downtown . walking distance from old port and latin quater and undergroon will be back this summer .
