Tanita (Lagoon) Resort, Udon Thani

We alway stay in main town when we came to Udon Thani. When we knew this place our idai are changed, Because Tanita (Lagoon) Resort make us very happy in beautiful place it has big lagoon beside our room. We plan to back again for next coming.

My family and I found Tanita lagoon resort by pure chance when we arrived in Udon Thani and were very happy that we did. It’s a beautiful resort in a peaceful location on the outskirts of town about 5 minutes from the airport; the staff are very friendly and helpful. You can take Sam Lor (tricycle type taxi) into the town if you do not have transport of your own and also the staff are happy to run you to different places as needed. The resort now has internet wifi which was installed as we arrived. Also is a swimming pool being built which should be completed by early June 2009 (Unfortunately no good for us on this trip however we will be back to enjoy the pool the next time). My family and I have stayed in various places in and around Udon Thani and this is by far the most enjoyable relaxing trip we’ve had. I look forward to seeing it as it develops further, there have been more large trees, shrubs and hedges transplanted into the resort recently and more facilities to follow, so I’m told. It looked good before.. There are several good restaurants nearby and a large supermarket which conveniently open as we arrived. All within 5 minutes drive with a Sam Lor or a lift from the staff. If you want to be in the town centre then maybe it’s not the place for you however we managed to get around with a small child fairly easily during our stay so it’s definitely worth paying a visit. To make your stay the more enjoyable it helps if you have your own car but not an absolute requirement.

nice place but no public transportation nearby so in order to go anywhere you have take a taxi. When i was there the water heater would not work so there was no hot water for showers, etc. very quiet setting though.

I am meeting my Thai girlfriend so I am coming to visit Udon Thani for a few days and I found this resort on the internet. However I am a little concerned about transportation to and from the city center. You know it was very easy by resort survices if you tell the staff they can take care you. This place is very nice and private place for our rest.

They offer lakeside chalets for rent in a very quiet and rural area. Each room has it's own private parking and terrace dining area overlooking the lake. If you're looking for quality accommodation outside the busy city area then check this place out.

We stay for 1 week and veryyyy happy. Because the owner is verry kind and good take care the best is lagoon view beside our room

I have stayed at Tanita Lagoon resort many times, and I absolutely love it. Wonderful location, wonderful facilities, and exceptional staff. Brilliant value for money.Unfortunately we were unable to return to Tanita Lagoon again this year due to sporting committments, however I can't wait to get back there as soon as I can! Do yourself a favour and visit this wonderful resort.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in January 2008. I am English and my wife is originally from Udon. We have previously stayed in the Ban Chiang hotel and the Charoensri Grand Royal, but this time we fancied a change. I found the Tanita Lagoon Resort on Trip Advisor. We were met at the airport and made to feel very welcome. The rooms are a reasonable size and have a good airconditioning unit inside (although no heating and the nights can be cold in Dec/Jan). Breakfast is from 7am - 10am and is cooked to order. Lunch is also available (fairly priced), just let the chef know your plans. Note that you will need your own transport to stay here. It is a 10-15 minute drive to the city centre. The in room refridgerator is very handy, but there were only Thai stations on the TV. There was no kettle or hair dryer in the bedroom (we bought both cheaply in Udon). Bed linen is changed daily & slippers and bathrobes are provided. The bathroom facilities consist of a cold sink, flushing toilet and electric shower. For the price paid I believe that we had very good value for money and I would be happy to stay here again.

I knew this place by Google and I would like to say thanks to help me find nice hotel in Udon Thani. Tanita is not like hotel because it's not too much staff but a service is OK. The best thing is view around my room lagoon, rice field, mountain and garden are beautiful for me. Again google thank you

I needed a rest after a very busy time prior to going to Tanita (Lagoon)Resort and this was the perfect place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the owners were great - friendly and chatty. The rooms were of good quality (not 5 star - but certainly exceeded expectations).
