Hotel Sea Crown, Cox's Bazar

For foreigners this is a place to avoid. For locals who don't know any better its great. Wife & I visited on our way to Thailand, for honeymoon. Management runs a side brothel business where they try to harrass foreigners to sample their wares. My wife kept getting approached and leered at even though we were dressed modestly, with many trying to take pics. I moved out after two days to another hotel. Did not feel safe. They keep the lights on floors dimmed. Linens were not clean. Service horrible as all staff were trying to wrangle extra tip with stories of their woes. Mentioning to foreign desk, only made matter worse as they became violent with their staff. This is not a HOTEL, this is a MOB house run by Bangldeshi MOB. Visit if you only want to support corruption in BD. Even the government run hotels are better!

The Hotel Sea Crown is not a standard Hotel for every one. I cant accept their Service, Food and Security. The behavior of their GM is very unprofessional for that maximum staff is non professional. Its unsecured hotel of Cox's bazar. Some people attacked by thief at this hotel. Out of that various problem is there i.e. Water supply at Wash room, They have no enough water for suuply to your wash room.

I had a bad experence about this hotel service, they are not only expensive during this lin season but their service is not up to the mark, if you test their food you wiill never asked again for that,So requested to all visitors/Tourist to think twice bofore you book with this hotel.

Not very honest at the desk. Inspite of the fact that we booked 2 luxory rooms long in advance they would not give us the best rooms ( though empty ). Too much power failure and the A/C does not work with their own generators. The food was ok. Only good thing about the hotel is that its right on the beach. Next time I would choose another hotel

this is a 3rd graded hotel. poor entry, ac of reception area not working, staffs are non professional. balcony of room is very small in size.surroundings of hotel is very dirty.i changed the hotel after staying one night. the architectural plan and elevation is very bad, ugly.the location is very far from city center.most surprising is that the staffs are very happy with this socalled star hotel

Am a foreigner. I had been to the Sea Crown hotel and the hotel service is awful. Though I made an advance booking in Dhaka I had to wait for thirty minutes before check in my room. While I was waiting in front of the room watching the cleaner made the room I was shocked to see him wash used glasses in the room with only tap water from the bathroom. Next, the curtains were all stained and dirty. The blanket they had given to me had some insect eggs in it. I spend a sleepless night ,till 02:00 a.m the hotel was doing maintenance work using drilling machine and there was constant hammering. The other guests were making so much noise and some even shamelessly put some chairs infront of my room and were talking loudly. The Hotel management seems to be indiffrent with this practice. There is no rules or regulation for guests, everything seems to be allowed. What's more I was scared when I received calls from the telephone in my room from oher guests in the hotel. I understand that any guest can call any other guests in the same hotel by just dialling the room number. I don't understand Bangla, so I could not understand what the caller wanted, but I guess some girls wanted to make friend with me.Though the local people are not agressive, as a foreigner I was feeling very unsecure in that hotel. From my point of view, that was a violation of my privacy which I did not appreciate at all. The Hotel should take care about these things. The service in the restaurant hotel is bad.I had to wait for more than 1hour before getting food as simple as an omelette. I noticed that all local people seemed to be happy and satisfied with the hotel service. I respect other people way of living. So once again, let me make this clear that this message is intended for foreigners. I would not recommend the Sea Crown Hotel to any other foreigner. Morever, the agent for the hotel situated in Dhaka showed me some pictures of the inside of the hotel, e.g rooms and restaurant.However, the pictures do not correspond to the actual hotel. So don't let people fool you.

People usually like to watch to see the sea from nearest and safe location. Sea Crown has a specialty for next to sea beach. But rent is little bit high compare to other good Hotel.

- Closest to the beach with an affordable price - reasonably clean, but we went there when it was new - enjoyed our time over there, would love to go back again if they maintain their clenliness

if u think u enjoy cox's bazar,u must book hotel sea crown.and room must be 603. dont miss prone fry at hotel delicious. and dont miss loita fry .loita vuna, bagun vorta and rise is the most feverate and cheapest menu in hotel sea crown. not to buy any type like achar andfish infront the hotel. they are very cheap in barmis market. hotel rent must fixed. based on season.balconi front view is the best. sea ride honda first fixed prise 50 taka,beach chair 20/hour. dont miss marin drive. himchori visit must have extra dress. because u bath there.if u r not strong enough better to avoid climbing in the forest.but if u climb that thats gorgious. from seacrown to himchory batery auto rent 300tk for twoway rent and for stay there for 2 hour.and then u go to inani beach the drive u must enjoy.from himchory to inani both rent 300taka.

Hotel Sea Crown is the best hotel in my opinion. As the location is the best and neat and clean rooms, with the best service, very friendly staff, and homely environment.
