Costa Maya Hotel, Caye Caulker

The resort is small which gives it an intimate feel. The staff were great, and even though I didn't scuba dive, several guests raved about the dive shop as being the best on the island. The chef is amazing and the room we had was a two bedroom chalet with lovely tile floors, lots of windows, a veranda/porch with a hammock and table/chairs. The resort is well maintained and has daily activities such as kayaking, snorkeling and nature hikes. This was my first visit to Costa Maya and I didn't want to leave! My experience was great and I will be back hopefully as a gift to my parents! Verna Nelson, Dallas, GA

The staff at Costa Maya were not friendly nor were they helpful even when requesting simple things such as beach towels, or use of the hammocks. The room itself was extremely dirty - the floors, tiolet and shower in particular even though there was supposedly daily room service. I would suggest another hotel for people heading to Caye Caulker.

I have been to Caye Caulker twice and both times have stayed at Costa Maya. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and are in a great location. You get FREE use of bikes and sea kayaks as part of your room price. Costa Maya is a great deal!
