If paradise was half as nice
By Mark, 04/02/08
Very nice house, very nice people, wonderful environment (nearby Aswan, Nile, ..). Very sweet people, poor but friendly, extremely friendly hosts (Abdel and Ellen). Wed were there with three small children, in a house in the village.

Special place on the Westbank of the Nile
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/08
I like Bet el Kerem because it is a quiet place, away from the mass tourism; genuine, at the edge of the Nubian villages and with a marvellous view from the roof garden. Bet el Kerem is situated in front of the Tombs of the Nobles; on the left side the Nile river, on the right te desert and on the back the Nubian villages and the green agricultural areas near the Nile. It's a private place, with a super chef cook, staff willing to helping you and organizing trips on the Westbank if you like. And staying in Bet el Kerem is an opportunity to meet the hospitable and modest Nubian population.
