DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - REALLY DON'T STAY HERE
First off I reserved two rooms over the weekend one for my family and kids and the other for my in-laws and their two other grandchildren. Although the Hotel was tricky to get to, there is only one way in and out of their parking lot which i didn't care for.
Rooms were cleaned and didn't smell like smoke. Towels were neatly stacked in the restroom and they had a nice flat screen tv in the room; but that's where the positive stuff ends for this hotel.
First off, because of my stay i was provided with a free complimentary breakfast for my stay for both days. However, the receptionist at the front desk failed to give me my vouchers stating my family and i would eat breakfast for free. This was brought to my attention when the lady was going to charge me $24 dollars for 3 plates with only bacon, eggs and a waffle. This was embarrassing since i had to leave my food there and walk up to the front desk to get my vouchers.
Next, the serving lines had small warming pans that held very little food like eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, gravy & biscuits. These items kept running out very quickly because since this was a buffet style breakfast, people had to wait around 30 minutes or more to get the food they wanted. There was only one waffle machine and with waffles taking 2 minutes to cook and about 5 + people waiting in line on top of waiting 20-30mintues for other food was just ridicules. Then there was a problem of running out of plates and utensils. I guess were suppose to eat that syrup covered waffle with our bare hands. Again you had to wait several several minutes before clean plates and utensils were brought out. This experience was shared with me by all who stayed that weekend and got up early for breakfast.
The real problem was on Saturday night after my family got back from fishing that the hotel ran out of towels! THEY RAN OUT OF TOWELS!!! Oh my god i was so upset. My family and i had to use our beach towels that had sand in them to dry ourselves with after a shower. I was really pissed. Then the front desk clerk had the audacity to say that its not their fault that people like us take the towels to the beach and don't return them. That really set me off.
I wrote my complaint the very next day when i arrived home to Marriott and received a confirmation email stating that someone would be calling to discuss my stay. Till this day, no one has called.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - IT IS HORRIBLE. IF YOU STAY AFTER READING MY REVIEW, DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED!
