They lost a 7 year customer
I have stayed at this hotel every year for th last 7 years, dating back to roadtripping with my buddies in high school, college trips, and now with my wife. This past weekend made it all come to an end. First and for most, NOTHING, has been updated. The tv's are the same, paint ad wood are pealing from the walls and doors, and nothing works. we stayed 3 nights, we had to to get our room keys reset not once, not twice, but 3 times. Thats right, 3 different times we returned to our room and our room key would not work, so we had to go all the way to the front counter from the 3rd floor to have the reset. I think we called thefront desk a total of 4 times in our 3 night stay. The iron did not work, housekeeping did not come to our room, so I called the front desk to ask if somebody could just bring us up some fresh towels, I was told I had to come down and get them myself. Just when I thought it could not get any worse, the coffee maker did not boether to work either, so I called the front desk to tell them, they said they would send somebody up. 30 minutes later I am still waiting and get a call on the room phone. Its the front desk asking me again why I called. "REALLY?" After repeating myself about the cofee maker, I waited another 30 minutes for somebody to come up. My wife finaly got fed up with waiting and went down stairs to get a cofee maker from the front desk. I never write reviews, nor do I complain. This is the only place I hav stayed in Galveston for the last 7 consecutive years. So before you reserve a room here just know that the staff and the service are lazy and there is a high probability that something won't work in your room.
