Daxas Inn - Bush Intercontinental Airport, Humble

Noisy rooms, no restaurants nearby, no pool, beds are not the top of th eline.

I booked a room for an overnight stay. The hotel is located on the Eastex Freeway, and it's a busy road. You WILL hear pronounced road noise all day and night. I'm from NYC, so this didn't bother me at all. If you are worried about places to eat, in the immediate area there is a Denny's a bit up the road and the convenience store next door. But if you are driving, if you go to the corner and make a left and go down that road a bit...anything you'll need is available. CVS. Burger King. McDs. Walmart. Radio Shack and a host of other services. Back to the hotel itself. This hotel is surprisingly clean and comfortable. I didn't make use of any of the other services in the hotel and did not come into contact with much of the staff, so I really can't give a fair assessment of that. Although I did kind of get a lecture about the early check-in policy from the girl at the front desk. Check-in time is at 3pm. I arrived at 1:30pm. I was told about a charge for the early check-in...however I was never charged for it. Well, if you werent going to charge me for it, then why TELL ME about it? She said, if we didn't charge it...people would come at 10am. I would have waited the 90 minutes. But whatever. All-in-all...my short experience was positive. I know where to go if I want food or services and the price is right. When I return to houston, I will book here again.
