Sea Mountain Resort, Desert Hot Springs

It is best to read reviews FIRST where ever you go! This place is loved by those in Los Angeles as a close saucy place to meet friends for the weekend. Our group of friends never stay overnight due to the high rates, however Sea Mountain gladly gives you local options over the phone. Day passes are what we find best when visiting here. We love it for a close weekend gettaway!

There only seem to be two types of reviews wonderful or bad and we have to go with the lattar. As seasoned travellers with multiple trips to Hedo II and III as well as other swing clubs the cost is rediculous. Our two day weekend was almost $900 when all said and done and we got about $300 in value. First the positive, wonderful, wonderful staff they are great. The rooms are clean and the pool and hot tub are kept clean considering the age of the facility. Now the rest of the story! Sea Mountain is neither a resort nor spa. It is an old style roadside motel with vacant gravel lots on both sides in a residential neighbourhood, park on the street if you find room. The only thing resort about it is the name on the outside of the building and "the spa" is a small empty room with a massage table where they call in someone from outside if you want to pay for a massage. As several of the other reviews point out the music is for an under 25 crowd and the volume is off the charts loud. The DJ single handedly KILLED Saturday night. On two occasions at our request he was asked to play some dance music for the crowd that was there, 35-55 and we got two songs before it went back to annoying loud rap music. We found most couples had moved to the firepit or hot tub to get away from the noise. We were there for a special event weekend that included lunch and dinner. Lunch was chips and pretzels with veggie plate and some cold cuts. Dinner was KFC chicken and a couple of salads. Remember you are paying almost $400 a night for this. Being a special weekend they also had a lingerie contest by the pool. Again a huge dissapointment. I commented to my wife this should be fun, boy was I wrong. They brought out a single construction light on a long extension cord from the dinningroom / office / bar/ reception area. Couples walked around the pool and the staff picked a few winners. We were actually one of the winners but won't waste our money or time returning. The bottom line____________ they have built a wonderful image of a very classy high end swingers resort and spa. Although they truly try it is no more than a greatly over priced roadside motel where you don't need to wear clothes. The room was ok with a nice shower, the vanity is a small glass shelf above the toilet. You will find superior rooms almost anywhere. At $150 a night go for it, anything more is a total waste of money and remember the music will KILL the mood if you are over 25. Unfortunately the truly classy upscale swingers clubs seem to be a thing of the past. I support what they are trying to do and once again the staff is wonderful but the price they charge is a complete rip off for what is provided.

Spend a weekend in May at Sea Mountain. Can't wait to go again.

What an experience we have attended the sea mountain inn of malibu of las vegas and have the pleasure to travel to los angeles many times per year every visit we go to the sea mountain inn clean and comfy and fun! why go all the way to jamaica when you have this gem in the usa 5 stars for us!

There's so much we liked during our weekend stay there, it's hard to narrow it down. The relaxing massages we got, great new friends we made, not to mention the freedom of hanging out at the pool naked. We're definitely going to make this an annual thing and will recommend this place to other couples.

Just got back from Sea Mountain, what an experience! Small and intimate, but I have never had such a great trip. Everything from mild to wild. The rooms were awesome and the beds, as good or better than any hotel I have stayed in. My girl and I met some great new friends and had the time of our lives.

My wife and I visited Sea Mountain Inn in November. We had been looking forward to an adults only vacation together and found the Sea Mountain Inn to be the perfect choice. The grounds were private and very relaxing. The staff and other guests were very friendly. We relaxed by the pool and spa for 3 wonderful days au natural and will be back as soon.

This place is the best place I've ever been to! My man and I had so much fun at the Sea Mountain Inn... The other guests were all partying and having fun, the staff was great and very accommodating, and the sun was shining beautifully. The music is an awesome mix so there's something for everyone. The room we stayed in was so pretty... very classy with beautiful art throughout the entire resort. Someone's got great taste is all I can say! I would most definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wants to relax with their partner, party with friends, and have the best vacation they could possibly dream of.

just chiming in to say this is a clean respectful very upscale retreat with natural mineral water pools that are open all night -one of the most romantic spas we have ever been too we are ready to return

the sea mountain inn rocks its unlike any hotel we have stayed in -clean superb food all inclusive beverages- the weather is wonderful and the atmosphere of no single men and a caring crowd make this one of the most romantic experiences we have ever had-we certainly will return soon. New fresh and clean -the rooms have great views and awesome flatscreens and asian art- we had wonderful massages and loved the art all over the grounds and the music was amazing- we are so sorry to have waited so long to find such a unique treat LOVE IT
